About the Role

The Head of Talent Acquisition manages full-cycle talent acquisition for ASG across all roles, with a particular emphasis on creative, media production, and technical positions. This strategic leader is responsible for researching, developing, and implementing recruiting and staffing strategies that attract a diverse and qualified talent pool. The position works closely with hiring managers to address organizational needs and deliver an exceptional candidate experience.

This is a remote role for candidates within NY Metro, Los Angeles, and the San Francisco Bay Area.

Essential Functions

• Lead the design and implementation of innovative recruitment processes that ensure a seamless experience for both candidates and hiring teams from start to finish.
• Partner closely with department managers to create compelling, detailed job postings and define clear, targeted hiring requirements.
• Roll up your sleeves as a Senior Recruiter—actively source top talent, screen applicants, coordinate and schedule interviews, and craft tailored interview materials, with particular focus on hard-to-fill or sensitive positions.
• Inspire and guide ASG’s team of Recruiters, overseeing their performance and supporting their professional growth through hands-on management and mentorship.
• Serve as a coach and thought partner to recruiters, offering expert advice and sharing best practices in both sourcing strategies and recruitment methodologies.
• Champion the adoption of creative and effective recruiting strategies that are tailored to each role, taking into account industry trends and organizational needs.
• Drive results by tracking key recruitment metrics like cost-per-hire, ensuring alignment with budget targets and service level expectations.
• Define and refine our job posting and advertising approach to maximize reach and impact in the market.
• Continually assess, select, and implement recruitment technologies—from ATS systems to sourcing tools—and analyze their ROI and usage data.
• Act as ASG’s go-to expert for all recruitment systems and processes, providing insight and training on tools such as Ashby, LinkedIn Recruiter, HireEZ, and more.
• Analyze recruiting data to identify trends and opportunities, presenting actionable insights to leadership.
• Set and maintain clear SLAs, communicating expectations and ensuring client satisfaction throughout every search.
• Oversee department workflow, resource allocation, and proactively scale recruiting capacity to meet changing business needs.
• Participate directly in interviews alongside hiring managers and directors, especially for critical or specialized roles.
• Collaborate with HR and hiring teams on developing competitive offer packages—including salary, incentives, and onboarding timelines.
• Ensure the highest standards for compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as internal policies.
• Work cross-functionally to prioritize open roles, accelerate key searches, and maintain momentum on hiring projects.
• Foster relationships with top talent and build candidate pipelines for both current and anticipated openings.
• Support hiring leaders in expanding their professional networks and building ASG’s talent community.
• Present well-rounded candidate recommendations to hiring teams and clients, complete with supporting information such as portfolios, demo reels, and referrals.
• Keep candidates engaged and informed at every stage, setting clear expectations and providing feedback.
• Lead compensation negotiations, clearly outlining benefits offerings, and acting as a trusted advocate for ASG.
• Embrace a mindset of continuous improvement—constantly seeking new ways to elevate our recruitment service and deliver exceptional hiring outcomes.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience
• At least 5 years managing all phases of recruitment and hiring
• Strong knowledge of broadcast media and live event production industries, especially in major markets (SF Bay Area, LA, NY, London) preferred
• Experience with project/event-based staffing
• Prior experience in audio/visual technology, managed services, creative, or broadcast roles preferred
• Prior managerial and/or staffing agency experience
• Experience with Ashby applicant tracking system preferred
• Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter and HireEZ
• SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred
• SHRM Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential a plus

Position Type and Expected Hours

• Full-time
• Monday – Friday, regular business hours
• Occasional weekend work required
• Occasional travel may be required
