Job Description

Are you a web developer with a strong eye for UX and a talent for turning existing content into a polished, easy-to-manage website? We're looking for a Web Developer/UX professional to collaborate remotely with our Colorado-based client on a personal branding and e-commerce website for a published author. This is a flexible opportunity, ideal for someone who enjoys translating a clear content roadmap into a clean, functional site. Apply today!

BetterPros unlocks human potential by offering competitive compensation, flexibility, constant learning and growth, and the opportunity to work anywhere you want with one of our +130 active clients across the United States.

What you'll do:

  • Build a centralized website showcasing the client's biography, professional/personal background, career and experience, and written content.
  • Develop a homepage along with approximately 4–5 main sections/links, based on an existing site structure and roadmap already prepared by the client.
  • Set up a blog section where the client can publish her articles.
  • Create a books/product section featuring information about her published work.
  • Implement an e-commerce component with a shopping cart, allowing visitors to purchase books directly through the site, including credit card payment functionality.
  • Build the site on WordPress, using a simple, drag-and-drop-style CMS experience so the client can manage it independently going forward.
  • Ensure the client is able to add new blog articles, update content, manage pages, and make basic changes without needing a developer.
  • Handle light UI/graphic design work to make the site cohesive and polished, using existing materials and content provided by the client.
  • Build an initial version of the website, review it with the client and family, incorporate feedback and markups, and continue refining through several rounds of revisions.

What you must have:

  • Experience working with WordPress as both a developer and designer.
  • 3+ years of experience in web development and/or UX design.
  • Experience implementing e-commerce functionality, including shopping cart and credit card payment processing.
  • A good eye for design, usability, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, interpret an existing content/site roadmap, and propose practical implementation solutions.
  • Ability to build websites that are genuinely easy for non-technical owners to manage themselves.
  • An advanced level of English.

A great plus:

  • Experience building websites for authors, personal brands, or content-driven creators.
  • Familiarity with WordPress e-commerce plugins (such as WooCommerce or similar).
  • Experience working directly with clients through iterative feedback and revision cycles.

We've got the opportunity, you've got the talent. Apply now!
