What We Do & Why This Role Matters

JPI Group Consulting is scaling its national footprint across the Energy sector — utilities, program implementers, trade allies, energy efficiency (EE) funders, and specialty contractors. We’re looking for a senior sales leader who already has the relationships and the credibility in this space, and who’s ready to turn that network into a national platform with real ownership, visibility, and upside.

This isn’t a support role. You will be the face of JPI Group in rooms most account managers never get into — and everything you originate feeds directly into the company’s growth engine.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • The relationships that Build and control direct lines to program leaders, senior management, and vendor partners across utilities, implementers, trade providers, EE funders, and contractors — the decision-makers, not just the gatekeepers.
  • National-scale opportunity Identify and shape major national initiatives before competitors even know they exist. You decide what’s worth pursuing.
  • The internal Every lead and introduction you generate flows to JPI Group’s sales teams — you’ll be recognized internally as the source of the company’s highest-value opportunities.
  • The industry stage representing JPI Group at conferences, webinars, and networking events that set the agenda for the Energy efficiency and utility program space — AESP, utility trade groups, regional EE consortiums, and You are the brand in the room.

Required Skills:

  • 8+ years in business development, national accounts, or senior sales leadership, with deep roots in energy, utility, or energy efficiency
  • An existing network across utilities, implementers, trade allies, EE funders, and/or contractors that you can activate on day
  • A track record of originating and closing large, multi-stakeholder opportunities — not just managing accounts that were handed to
  • Command of the energy efficiency program landscape: funding mechanisms, program cycles, and the implementer/contractor
  • Executive presence — you’re as comfortable in a boardroom as you are on a conference
  • Willingness to travel for the relationships and events that make this role
