Salesforce consultant

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Salesforce Consultant based in United States.

This role supports a federal government initiative by delivering tailored Salesforce solutions that improve business processes and operational efficiency. You will work directly with clients and stakeholders to understand needs, facilitate discovery, and translate requirements into scalable platform solutions.

The position combines business analysis, solution design, Salesforce configuration, automation, testing, and deployment. You will provide both technical and functional leadership while collaborating with cross-functional teams throughout complex implementations.

The role offers the opportunity to work across Salesforce products including Public Sector Solutions, Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Nonprofit Cloud. You will also contribute to platform optimization, data and security architecture, governance, and best practices in a highly regulated federal environment. This is a hands-on consulting opportunity for a Salesforce-certified professional who can balance client needs, technical quality, and long-term maintainability.

Accountabilities:

• Lead end-to-end Salesforce implementations across Public Sector Solutions, Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Nonprofit Cloud.
• Provide technical and functional leadership to cross-functional project teams and mentor junior consultants.
• Contribute to internal best practices, solution accelerators, reusable frameworks, and implementation methodologies.
• Facilitate discovery sessions and stakeholder workshops to understand business, functional, and technical requirements.
• Translate stakeholder needs into solution designs, user stories, acceptance criteria, process models, and implementation roadmaps.
• Design and implement automation using Salesforce Flow, Approval Processes, Einstein capabilities, and other declarative tools.
• Optimize business processes to reduce manual work and improve operational efficiency.
• Ensure automation solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with governance and compliance requirements.
• Develop prototypes and use iterative feedback cycles to validate proposed solutions with stakeholders.
• Serve as a strategic advisor on Salesforce capabilities, platform architecture, optimization opportunities, and implementation approaches.
• Design scalable data, security, and automation models aligned with federal requirements.
• Configure and customize Salesforce using declarative tools and established architecture best practices.
• Guide technical integration approaches involving Salesforce integrations and APIs.
• Support Agile delivery practices and collaborate with stakeholders throughout implementation and deployment.
• Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• At least 7 years of overall professional experience, including 4 years of hands-on Salesforce consulting or implementation experience.
• Proven experience delivering complex Salesforce programs involving multiple stakeholders.
• Salesforce Certified Administrator certification required.
• Salesforce Platform App Builder certification required.
• One or more Consultant-level Salesforce certifications in Sales, Service, Experience, or Marketing Cloud required.
• Strong business analysis skills, including client discovery, requirements definition, process modeling, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• At least 4 years of experience building Salesforce business process models, writing acceptance criteria, and designing production user interfaces.
• Advanced proficiency with Salesforce automation, particularly Flow.
• Experience designing production-grade user interfaces using Lightning and Experience Cloud.
• Familiarity with Salesforce integrations and APIs, with the ability to guide appropriate technical integration approaches.
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and consulting skills.
• Ability to advise clients strategically on Salesforce architecture, capabilities, optimization, and process improvement.
• Additional Salesforce certifications such as Advanced Administrator, Marketing Cloud, OmniStudio, or Public Sector Solutions are preferred.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Government Public Trust Clearance.
• Must successfully complete required pre-employment qualifications and background screening.
