About Us

We're a US-based publishing and consumer products company. Our books span a few related entities and a handful of sales channels, and we're looking for someone to keep it all organized and current. You'd be working closely with a small team, with real ownership of the day-to-day finances.

Tasks

What You'd Do

• Enter and categorize transactions in QuickBooks Online
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and payouts from our sales platforms each month
• Prepare monthly Profit & Loss statements and other basic reports
• Track bills and invoices, and keep vendor and customer records tidy
• Keep receipts and documentation organized
• Help get the books ready for our CPA at year-end

We'll walk you through our setup and how we like things categorized. You don't need to arrive knowing our business.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

• Solid bookkeeping experience — a couple of years is plenty
• Comfortable in QuickBooks Online
• Good with Excel or Google Sheets
• Clear written English and comfortable asking questions
• Careful with details and discreet with financial information
• Reliable internet and a workable home setup
• Nice to have, but not required: accounting degree, QuickBooks certification, e-commerce or inventory experience, or experience working with US-based clients.
