Job Summary:

uAvionix is seeking a highly organized, dependable, and proactive Part-Time Office Manager to support the day-to-day operations of a busy manufacturing location. This position serves as a key point of contact for employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors and helps ensure the office and facility operate efficiently, professionally, and safely.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on self-starter who enjoys a fast-paced environment, can effectively manage multiple priorities, and is comfortable jumping in wherever needed. This role will provide administrative and operational support to the local team while partnering with leadership, Human Resources, Finance, Facilities, and other corporate functions.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day administrative needs of the office and manufacturing location.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for visitors, vendors, contractors, and employees.
• Maintain a professional, organized, and welcoming office environment.
• Coordinate office supplies, equipment, furniture, and other facility needs.
• Monitor inventory of office and common-use supplies and place orders as needed.
• Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail.
• Assist with facility maintenance requests and coordinate with landlords, vendors, and service providers.
• Support building access, keys/badges, parking, and other site-related needs.
• Coordinate office meetings, conference rooms, catering, and company events as needed.
• Help maintain common areas, kitchens, conference rooms, and other shared spaces.
• Help coordinate visitors and vendors entering the manufacturing area and ensure appropriate site procedures are followed.
• Support site safety initiatives and assist with maintaining required workplace postings, documentation, and records.
• Help coordinate employee training, meetings, and other site activities.
• Identify operational issues and proactively work to resolve them or escalate them to the appropriate person.
• Assist with scheduling meetings and coordinating calendars.
• Support onboarding activities for new employees, including workspace preparation, supplies, badges/access, and other site logistics.
• Assist HR with employee communications, events, and administrative activities.
• Serve as a helpful resource and point of contact for employees at the location.
• Help create a positive, professional, and collaborative workplace environment.
• Assist with employee events, celebrations, lunches, and other team activities.
• Respond to employee questions and direct them to the appropriate company resource when needed.
• Demonstrate a customer-service mindset in supporting employees, managers, and visitors.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of office administration, office management, facilities coordination, or related experience preferred.
• Experience supporting a manufacturing, engineering, technology, or similarly fast-paced environment preferred.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.
• Professional, approachable, and service-oriented demeanor.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and interacting with employees at all levels of the organization.
• Willingness to take a hands-on approach and assist with a wide variety of tasks.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to regularly move throughout an office and manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift and carry office supplies and packages weighing up to approximately 30 pounds.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach as required to perform the essential functions of the position.
• Ability to work safely in and around a manufacturing environment while following all applicable safety requirements.

On-site 5 days a week; up to 28 hours a week
