Job Description

Job Description

Position Overview:

Our client is seeking a Network Engineer to support network program initiatives by coordinating technical tasks, managing hardware readiness, and partnering with engineering, operations, and third-party resources. The engineer will help fill existing workflow gaps, track required data, and execute routing and switching tasks to ensure network devices are delivered, configured, and documented correctly.

Responsibilities:

  • Support routing and switching tasks; bring network devices online and validate readiness.
  • Apply base configurations, participate in change control processes, and support onboarding workflows.
  • Track hardware, shipments, staging status, and ensure data ties back to the correct project.
  • Log and route engineering tickets, including those coordinated with the customer's third party.
  • Collaborate with engineering resources to ensure work is assigned, clarified, and executed effectively.
  • Maintain proactive oversight of third-party teams to ensure timelines and deliverables are met in coordination with the Project Manager.
  • Gather, organize, and maintain wireless documentation including floor plans and AutoCAD artifacts.
  • Assist with defining what support would look like without third-party involvement and help operationalize workflows.
  • Identify gaps in processes and coordinate with project managers to address any.
  • Support downstream partners such as wireless deployment teams and electrical teams as project dependencies arise.

Job Requirements

Required:

  • Hands-on routing and switching skills; able to bring devices online and apply base network configurations.
  • Experience supporting network implementation, onboarding, or operations.
  • Ability to coordinate tasks, identify gaps, and maintain structured documentation.
  • Ability to work within ticketing workflows and change control processes.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across engineering, operations, and managed-service partners.
  • Ability to track data and documentation across multiple project workstreams.

Preferred:

  • Experience with wireless documentation (floor plans, AutoCAD).
  • Background working with managed service providers.
  • Experience in enterprise-scale network refresh or deployment environments.
  • Ability to support project coordination tasks in addition to technical work.
