DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS

The Network Engineer is responsible for the implementation, administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and support of the firm's enterprise network infrastructure. This position works closely with senior engineers and other technology teams to maintain reliable, secure, and scalable network services across offices, datacenters, Azure environments, and remote locations.

What You Will Do:

• Meet established performance metrics, service levels, and operational standards.
• Adhere to documented procedures, change-management processes, quality-control requirements, and security standards.
• Participate in on-call rotations and provide support during evenings, weekends, holidays, and approved maintenance windows.
• Coordinate with vendors, service providers, security, facilities, and other technology teams.
• Communicate technical concepts, risks, and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.

Network Infrastructure

• Design, deploy, configure, troubleshoot, maintain, and lifecycle-manage enterprise network infrastructure.
• Support technologies including, but not limited to:
• Cisco switching platforms
• Enterprise routing
• Wireless controllers and access points
• Firewalls
• Load balancers
• SD-WAN solutions
• VPN technologies
• Internet services
• DNS/DHCP
• Cisco ISE
• Network monitoring systems.
• Follow established network standards, deployment methodologies, and architectural guidelines.
• Assist with testing and evaluation of new technologies.
• Ensure appropriate levels of network resiliency, redundancy, capacity, and disaster recovery readiness.
• Participate in network upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure improvement projects.

Cloud Networking

• Support and troubleshoot networking solutions within Azure.
• Support hybrid connectivity between on-premises and Azure environments.
• Troubleshoot Azure networking issues involving routing, security controls, and service availability.

Network Security

• Implement and maintain secure network architectures and access controls.
• Partner with cybersecurity teams to address vulnerabilities, security findings, and compliance requirements.
• Maintain network segmentation, authentication, authorization, and secure-management practices.
• Participate in incident response activities involving network-related security events.
• Ensure networking systems comply with established security standards and best practices.

Automation and Continuous Improvement

• Maintain monitoring, alerting, logging, and performance-management platforms.
• Analyze performance, latency, utilization, and availability trends.
• Assist with capacity planning and future infrastructure requirements.

Monitoring and Operations

• Monitor network health and proactively identify issues.
• Respond to alerts and investigate network performance concerns.
• Participate in capacity planning activities by providing operational feedback.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2+ years of relevant experience in enterprise network engineering, administration, or support.
• Working knowledge of enterprise networking concepts, including routing, switching, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, wireless networking, VPNs, and network security.
• Hands-on experience configuring, supporting, and troubleshooting enterprise networking technologies, including Cisco platforms.
• Experience supporting LAN, WAN, wireless, VPN, and Internet connectivity.
• Experience supporting networking technologies within Microsoft Azure.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Python, Teraform, or similar automation experience.
• Cisco Catalyst Center experience.
• Experience supporting enterprise wireless environments.
