SUMMARY

The Manager, Growth Marketing is a key member of the Growth team responsible for turning strategy into execution across business development, marketing, events, and other revenue-generating initiatives. Reporting to the VP of Growth, this person manages the day-to-day operating rhythm of the Growth function, ensuring priorities move forward, teams stay aligned, deadlines are met, and opportunities do not lose momentum. This role also directly manages two members of the Growth/Marketing team, providing clear priorities, coaching, workload management, and accountability. The ideal candidate is an experienced operator and people manager who thrives in a fast-moving agency environment. They are comfortable moving between a new business pitch, marketing campaign, executive request, event activation, and pipeline review, and can independently determine what needs to happen next.

KEY OUTCOMES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Outcome: Manage Growth and New Business Operations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the operational workflow for new business opportunities, RFPs, RFIs, pitches, and prospect initiatives
  • Build and maintain project plans, timelines, responsibilities, dependencies, and deadlines
  • Coordinate inputs across Strategy, Media, Marketing Science, Finance, Creative, Partnerships, and other teams
  • Ensure prospect follow-ups, deliverables, meetings, and next steps happen on time
  • Maintain accurate pipeline information and activity within HubSpot; identify risks or bottlenecks early and proactively drive resolution
  • Support preparation for pipeline reviews, leadership updates, and Growth meetings

Key Outcome: Manage Marketing and Demand Generation Operations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the integrated marketing calendar across campaigns, content, thought leadership, events, and demand-generation initiatives
  • Translate Growth priorities into actionable plans for the team
  • Coordinate briefs, reviews, approvals, production schedules, and distribution
  • Ensure marketing activity connects to target accounts, pipeline development, and broader revenue priorities
  • Partner with internal and external resources to keep marketing programs moving from concept through execution

Key Outcome: Lead Events and Growth Activation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the operational planning surrounding priority industry events and Growth activations
  • Coordinate prospect and client meetings, sponsorship deliverables, executive participation, content needs, and follow-up
  • Develop pre-event and post-event workstreams to ensure events contribute to broader Growth and demand-generation objectives
  • Maintain visibility into upcoming events, deadlines, responsibilities, and opportunities for activation

Key Outcome: Manage Growth Team Operations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain the operating cadence for the Growth function
  • Prepare agendas, priorities, status updates, action items, and follow-ups for key meetings
  • Maintain visibility across active initiatives and ensure owners are accountable for next steps
  • Develop processes and systems that make the Growth organization more efficient and scalable
  • Serve as an operational partner to the VP of Growth, taking ownership of execution so VP time can remain focused on strategy, revenue generation, senior relationships, major opportunities, and leadership

Key Outcome: Engage, retain, and enable performance of talent

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute and proactively manage talent plans. Assess, hire, on-board, and grow role-appropriate talent
  • Manage a team; set clear, outcome-based performance goals. Establish and maintain development plans for each.
  • Provide effective feedback that enables employees to improve and work toward goals, while seeking feedback from team to enable inclusion and continuous improvement
  • Remove barriers to enable team outcomes
  • Provide opportunities for growth and development, while mentoring and inspiring employees to unlock their full potential

Other Responsibilities:

Additional accountabilities and tasks may be assigned by leader/management, to contribute to overall team and agency success.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5–7 years of experience in marketing, growth, business development, agency operations, integrated marketing, project management, or a related discipline.
  • At least 1–2 years of direct people-management experience. Agency experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple complex, deadline-driven projects simultaneously.
  • Strong project management skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Experience working with senior executives and cross-functional teams.
  • Understanding of marketing, business development, pipeline management, and revenue-generation processes.
  • Experience with CRM and marketing technology platforms; HubSpot experience preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize independently and recognize when something requires escalation.
  • Comfortable operating in an environment where priorities can move quickly.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

All employees, regardless of role or geographic location, are required to travel to Rochester during their initial onboarding period (ideally within the first 4 weeks of employment) and annually for the Shareholder’s Summit held in June. Additional expected travel will include quarterly leadership development training and key/critical meetings & events.

COMPENSATION

Butler/Till is committed to providing pay transparency of our compensation philosophy and ensuring equitable pay practices for our employee owners. The compensation range for this position is $69,000- $108,000 and represents the annual salary range in Rochester, NY. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. This is just one component of Butler/Till’s total compensation package for employee owners. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including ESOP (employee stock ownership plan), an annual bonus, in addition to a full benefits package, and paid time off benefits, including 100% paid parental leave. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
