As a Team Leader / Project Manager, you will lead commissioning, quality assurance, and building performance projects while providing direct leadership and management for a team of technical professionals. In this role, you will manage project execution from planning through closeout, including schedules, budgets, resources, technical oversight, and client engagement. You will also provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to a team of commissioning professionals while supporting business development efforts and helping expand EEI's presence within the Oregon market. This position is ideal for an experienced commissioning professional and project leader who enjoys building client relationships, leading teams, developing business opportunities, and delivering successful outcomes on complex projects. $120,000 - $174,000 / year. The above salary range is based on the Portland Metro Area, OR labor market and subject to change based on location.
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Building Sciences, or a related technical field. Experience in commissioning, project management, building systems, construction, engineering, or related technical consulting environments. Demonstrated experience leading project teams and managing technical professionals. Experience managing project budgets, schedules, resources, client relationships, and project deliverables. Strong working knowledge of MEP systems, controls, commissioning processes, and building performance principles. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders while managing multiple priorities and deadlines. Currently authorized to work in the U.S. full-time.
Preferred: 5 plus years of experience in commissioning, project management, or related technical consulting environments. Experience leading commissioning activities for data centers, mission-critical facilities, healthcare facilities, or other high-reliability environments. Experience developing client relationships, generating business opportunities, and supporting strategic growth initiatives. Established professional relationships and business contacts within the Oregon market.
Oregon Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. PMP, CCP, CBCP, CxA, or other equivalent commissioning or project management certifications preferred. NFPA 70E and/or OSHA 30 preferred.
Typical Travel: Up to 75%. Travel requirements vary by project and individual location.
Work Environment: Hybrid environment of office and field-based work for site visits. Site visits may include mission-critical facilities, data centers, active construction environments, uneven ground, varying weather conditions, and field interactions.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform site inspections, which may include walking project sites, climbing ladders, occasionally lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs, and working in confined spaces when needed. Reasonable accommodation may be provided.
