System software programmer - advanced

Required Skills & Education

A bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field, with experience in computer software development, modification, and maintenance. Relevant experience may substitute for the bachelor’s degree on a year-for-year basis.

• 8 years of experience with government IT projects as a software developer, software engineer, or related field
• 8 years of experience building and optimizing SQL statements and stored procedures
• 3 years of experience supporting Water Quality/Safety Information Systems, preferably in a government setting
• Working knowledge of ASP.NET, .NET, C#, HTML, and CSS

Preferred Skills

• Experience implementing, configuring, and supporting SDWIS, Water Quality Exchange (WQX), SWIFT, and DW–SFTIES
• Experience with Apache Tomcat and Java
• Experience working or collaborating with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
• Experience using service/help desk ticket platforms and Microsoft Office products

Lumen and / or its clients will not provide equipment (Laptop, monitor, etc.) to the selected contractor. The contractor must have their own equipment. Access to a virtual desktop set up (software) will be provided by Lumen’s client, allowing the user access to the required systems and technology.
