At Nylas, we specialize in making it easier for developers to add email, calendar, and contact management features into their applications. We provide APIs, which streamline the integration of these functionalities, ensuring they are secure and effective. This enables better, safer, and more reliable communication within apps.
Supporting over 100,000 developers and collaborating with more than 900 companies globally, Nylas plays a pivotal role in how digital communication tools are built and utilized. Our technology spans various sectors, from healthcare to education, simplifying the complex process of app development related to communications. By reducing the barriers in communication technology, we empower developers to innovate and enhance user interaction across platforms.
At Nylas, we are building the infrastructure that powers modern communications. Our APIs and platform help developers integrate email, calendar, scheduling, contacts, notetakers, and agent accounts into their applications without managing the complexity underneath.
The Nylas Dashboard is the control plane for that platform. It is where customers create applications, connect accounts, configure domains, manage grants, debug issues, explore product capabilities, monitor logs, and understand how their integrations are performing.
As Nylas continues to evolve for an AI-native future, the Dashboard must evolve with it. We are turning it from a traditional admin surface into a fast, intuitive, intelligent product experience that helps developers ship faster, understand what is happening across their integrations, and confidently operate full-stack communication workflows.
We are looking for a Software Engineer to help build and modernize the Nylas Dashboard and the full-stack product surfaces that surround it.
This individual will be primarily responsible for the Nylas Dashboard, but the scope extends beyond frontend pages. You will work across the stack, owning the user-facing surfaces, APIs, services, data models, product workflows, and internal platform patterns that make Nylas easier to use and easier to build on.
This is a foundational role for someone who wants to shape how developers interact with Nylas in the AI era. You will help transform the Dashboard into a polished, reliable, AI-native control plane that supports core Nylas products, including Email, Calendar, Scheduler, Notetaker, Transactional Send, Inbound Email, and Agent Accounts.
You will partner closely with product, design, backend engineering, platform engineering, and go-to-market teams to ship experiences that feel fast, coherent, and deeply useful to technical users.
This is not a narrow frontend role, and it is not limited to a single product surface.
You will own critical product surfaces that every Nylas customer touches. You will help define the patterns other teams build within. You will work on the Dashboard shell, navigation, shared components, product pages, backend APIs, authorization flows, observability surfaces, onboarding experiences, and agent-powered workflows.
The person in this role should be excited by the idea of making Nylas feel more modern, cohesive, fast, and AI-native. You should care about developer experience, product craft, system design, and the operational details that make complex platforms feel simple.
If you want to help modernize a developer platform for the AI future we are already in, this role is for you.
During the various discussions, candidates selected to meet with us are strongly encouraged to not only discuss their knowledge, skills, experience, and abilities but also to showcase examples of their current or previous work. We expect you to clearly outline the "what," "why," and "how" behind your contributions.
Actual compensation will be determined based on individual qualifications, which are objectively assessed during the interview process. Factors influencing salary include knowledge, skills, experience, and abilities.
