Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Software Architect is responsible for designing secure, scalable, and maintainable software architectures for enterprise‑level products. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to understand business objectives and translating them into clear architectural strategies and technical designs.

Key responsibilities include overseeing application, data, and integration architecture; evaluating and selecting technologies, frameworks, and tools; and ensuring that architectural decisions support performance, security, and long‑term maintainability. The architect will identify technical risks, define mitigation strategies, and ensure high availability and reliability across system components.

The role also includes guiding development teams on best practices, reviewing design and code for architectural alignment, and helping troubleshoot complex issues. Additional duties involve maintaining architectural documentation, staying current with emerging technologies and cybersecurity trends, and ensuring that solutions are well‑integrated and aligned with broader business processes.

This position requires strong experience in designing large‑scale distributed systems, hands‑on knowledge of multiple programming languages, familiarity with modern frameworks and development tools, and a solid understanding of cloud, hybrid, and on‑premise environments. Experience with security practices, microservices, REST APIs, containerization, DevOps, and continuous integration/delivery is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate business objectives into secure, robust, scalable, and maintainable product architecture.
  • Oversee application design and integration, data architecture, and business architecture.
  • Evaluate technologies, open-source components, frameworks, patterns, risk management tools, and protocols for security, cost, risk, performance, and compatibility.
  • Identify technical risks and mitigation strategies; ensure 99.999% uptime for system components.
  • Provide comprehensive solution views showing how components fit together and align with business processes.
  • Stay current on cybersecurity threats, emerging technologies, and industry trends.
  • Mentor software development teams on software architecture and security best practices.
  • Help engineers troubleshoot and resolve coding/design issues.
  • Create and maintain architecture documentation, design decisions, patterns, and technical standards.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years as a software architect with strong software architecture, cybersecurity, and cloud technology background.
  • Large-scale, high-performance distributed application architecture in on-premise, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments.
  • Agile software development experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Java, C/C++, Python.
  • Experience with Spring, Hibernate, Angular.
  • Tools: Git, Bitbucket, Gradle, Maven, Jenkins.
  • Security practices: IAM, data protection, encryption, network security protocols, certificate/key management.
  • Database design and data modeling.
  • Microservice architecture and REST APIs.
  • Docker, Kubernetes, infrastructure provisioning, DevOps, CI/CD.
  • Security testing: SAST, SCA, DAST.
  • Strategic thinking, decision-making, learning orientation, and creativity.
  • Team player with strong problem-solving and technical discussion leadership.
  • Data security software and policy management systems are a plus.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Flexible paid time off
  • Remote‑friendly work environment
  • Professional development and training opportunities
  • Collaborative, supportive engineering culture
  • Opportunity to design high‑impact, enterprise‑level software architectures
