Senior user experience lead

CTG is seeking to fill a Senior User Experience Lead opening for our client.

Location: Remote

Duration: 6 months

Primary Responsibilities:

• Co-lead the definition, design, and delivery of digital product experiences that align with business goals and end-user needs.
• Apply user-centered design and design-thinking methods throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Provide UX thought leadership and establish design solutions across multiple business areas.
• Partner with Solution Architects, Application Developers, Product Managers, and other stakeholders to promote UX standards and industry best practices.
• Facilitate design sessions, develop wireframes and prototypes, and conduct usability studies to gather and incorporate user feedback.
• Develop and review functional and user requirements to ensure digital products deliver the intended look, feel, usability, and experience.
• Identify opportunities to improve and extend successful UX practices across digital products and services.
• Adhere to applicable risk, regulatory, internal control, audit, and compliance standards.

Scope of Responsibilities:

This role leads the creation of intuitive, innovative, and effective software experiences based on a strong understanding of user needs, behaviors, and expectations. The position applies user-centered design and design-thinking methods to solve complex problems, inform product strategy, and guide digital experiences.

The Senior User Experience Lead collaborates with multidisciplinary UX teams, Product Managers, Software Engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to develop high-quality desktop, mobile, and web experiences.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:

• Provide UX leadership and guidance to multidisciplinary teams and project stakeholders.
• Facilitate collaboration among design, development, product, and business teams.
• Promote a user-focused culture and consistent application of UX standards and best practices.

Education and Experience Required:

• Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of technical experience, including 3 years of professional experience in UX/UI or interaction design; or, in lieu of a degree, a combination of higher education and work experience totaling at least 9 years, including 5 years of technical experience and 3 years of professional UX/UI or interaction design experience.
• Strong experience with UX/UI design, user-centered design, design-thinking, and prototyping.
• Experience with React, Vue, Angular, Zeplin, or similar tools and proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Experience creating use cases, user flows, prototypes, scenarios, wireframes, and other UX deliverables.
• Strong project management, presentation, visualization, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Proficiency with relevant design, illustration, photo-editing, word processing, and presentation software.

Education and Experience Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in Cognitive Psychology, Computer Science, Design, Industrial Engineering, Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience, or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to apply innovative design solutions to complex or ambiguous business and user needs.
• Knowledge of UX best practices for desktop, mobile, and web applications, including accessibility and cross-platform considerations.
• Experience with mobile user interfaces, systems thinking, and software design, development, and prototyping methods.
• Financial industry experience is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $43.06 - $71.76/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
