Senior technical program manager - reservations, cancellations & host services

About the Role

Maleda Tech is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to drive execution across Reservations, Cancellations, and Host Services programs for a leading consumer marketplace platform. Embedded within a core engineering organization, you will support some of the most business-critical surfaces on the platform: the systems that govern how hosts and guests navigate bookings, changes, and service delivery. You'll partner directly with Engineering, Product, Design, and Data Science to ensure features ship on time, dependencies are managed proactively, and teams move with clarity and purpose. This is a hands-on, technical role for someone who can build trust quickly and help shape scope and solutions, not just track them.

Key Responsibilities

• Own program execution for Reservations, Cancellations, and Host Services initiatives, tracking milestones, surfacing risks, and driving resolution across Web, iOS, and Android engineering teams
• Partner with Engineering Managers, Tech Leads, and Product Managers to align roadmaps, sequence work, and keep cross-team dependencies visible and unblocked
• Lead, influence, and help shape engineering decisions and solution scope to prioritize speed to market against company initiatives
• Drive delivery of key workstreams, including cancellation policy systems, reservation management flows, host and guest service tooling, and related trust and support infrastructure
• Run regular program cadences (standups, cross-functional syncs, and stakeholder updates) to keep progress visible and escalate issues appropriately
• Identify and mitigate technical and execution risks before they become blockers
• Contribute to bi-annual product release planning by managing assigned workstreams through the full product lifecycle
• Translate complex technical work into clear status communications for engineering directors and senior leadership

Qualifications

Required

• 7+ years of Technical Program Management experience with a track record of driving cross-functional software programs to completion
• Senior- or staff-level operating experience, comfortable owning and influencing engineering decisions rather than only coordinating them
• Ability to understand and reason about technical systems, including frontend/backend integrations and multi-platform delivery (Web, iOS, Android)
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead through influence without direct authority
• Demonstrated ability to build high-trust working relationships quickly in a fast-moving environment
• Comfort operating in ambiguity, with a history of bringing structure to complex, evolving programs
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to synthesize complex tradeoffs and present at the right altitude for any audience

Preferred

• Experience on consumer-facing product surfaces such as reservations, cancellation flows, customer service tooling, or trust and safety systems
• Experience with high-scale consumer platforms and modern, distributed tech stacks

• Start Date: October 13, 2026
• Duration: Approximately 4 months (through February 13, 2027), with potential for extension
• Location: Remote (within the U.S.)
• Work Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday)
• Pay Rate: $75-$89/hour + benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401K)
• Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Engagement: W2 Contract role through Maleda Tech.
