As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the pre-sales process, helping fintechs, banks, brokerages, and payment providers translate complex technical requirements into practical solutions. You will collaborate closely with sales, architecture, and implementation teams to lead technical discovery, design integrations, and develop proof-of-concepts that demonstrate product value. Your work will help secure new business while ensuring proposed solutions can be implemented successfully. This hands-on role combines API expertise, technical problem-solving, and customer engagement in a fast-moving financial technology environment. You will also contribute insights from customer engagements to improve sales playbooks and inform future product development.

Accountabilities:

As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will lead the technical execution of pre-sales opportunities, from initial discovery through solution design, proof-of-concept delivery, and implementation handoff. You will work closely with sales and technical stakeholders to demonstrate feasibility, address customer requirements, and support successful deal outcomes.

• Lead technical discovery sessions with prospective customers alongside sales and the Partner Solutions Lead, assessing existing architectures, technical constraints, and compliance requirements.
• Map customer needs to relevant platform offerings, including embedded financial services, payment ramps, digital asset earning solutions, tokenized assets, and market data services.
• Design tailored technical solutions using existing products, product customizations, bespoke integrations, and, when needed, direct contributions to customer codebases.
• Scope, develop, and deliver proof-of-concepts that demonstrate technical feasibility, address customer challenges, and help close sales opportunities.
• Collaborate with the Solutions Architect, sales team, and Implementation Manager to execute the established pre-sales frameworks and technical sales playbooks.
• Identify recurring customer requirements, technical challenges, and product gaps, sharing insights with the Solutions Architect to support roadmap decisions.
• Prepare detailed solution design documentation, proof-of-concept deliverables, and technical recommendations that clearly communicate how proposed solutions address customer needs.
• Produce structured handoffs to the Implementation team, including knowledge-transfer sessions and documentation to ensure proposed solutions are delivered as promised.
• Contribute improvements to discovery frameworks, solution templates, proof-of-concept standards, and handoff procedures based on practical experience.
• Support requests for proposals (RFPs) and document solution approaches that explain product capabilities, customizations, and integration strategies.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced technical pre-sales professional who can combine strong API and integration expertise with clear communication and structured execution. You should be comfortable engaging technical buyers, navigating complex requirements, and delivering practical solutions that support commercial outcomes.

• At least 4 years of experience in technical pre-sales, solutions engineering, or solutions architecture at a B2B API or infrastructure company.
• Proven experience executing the full technical pre-sales process, including discovery, solution design, proof-of-concept development, and deal support.
• Strong knowledge of REST and WebSocket APIs, authentication mechanisms such as OAuth and JWT, webhook architecture, and integration debugging.
• Experience designing and building complex integrations for technical customers, particularly fintech companies, banks, or neobanks.
• Ability to develop customized solutions and bespoke integrations that address customer-specific technical and business requirements.
• Strong documentation and knowledge-transfer skills, with the ability to prepare solution designs that implementation teams can execute accurately.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to lead discovery calls, conduct technical design reviews, and facilitate implementation handoffs.
• Experience writing RFP responses and documenting technical approaches in a clear, structured, customer-focused manner.
• Ability to work effectively across sales, architecture, product, and implementation teams while managing multiple technical opportunities.

Nice-to-have qualifications:

• Knowledge of cryptocurrency and digital asset services, including trading, custody, Know Your Customer (KYC) processes, staking, and fiat on- and off-ramp mechanisms.
• Experience with embedded finance or crypto-as-a-service platforms.
• Familiarity with Coast and experience building sales demonstration proof-of-concepts within the platform.
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or Cursor for rapid prototyping.
