Every number in our financial statements represents a promise kept — to auditors, to investors, to the leadership team making decisions off of it. As Senior Revenue Accountant, you'll be the person who makes sure that promise holds on our most complex, highest-risk terrain: revenue. This role exists because our accounting function is scaling, and we need a technical owner who can take full accountability for revenue recognition and relieve leadership as the sole point of accountability on our highest-risk, named audit-focus control.
At Continuous, we make complex simple for financial institutions — and we need someone who can bring that same clarity to our own financial story. You'll own ASC 606 revenue recognition end-to-end, the deferred revenue subledger (including license/maintenance carve-outs and SSP judgments), GL standards enforcement for revenue accounts, and audit-ready journal entry preparation. Beyond the technical ownership, you'll own the ARR Snowball and MRR-to-deferred reconciliation that let accounting — not FP&A — own actuals and variance, month over month.
You'll join the Accounting Team, reporting directly to the Controller, as the technical owner of revenue accounting. You'll own ASC 606 revenue recognition, the deferred revenue subledger, GL coding standards for revenue accounts, audit-ready JE preparation, and the ongoing ownership of our ARR/MRR reporting infrastructure, while working closely with the accounting team on process automation and documentation.
You'll own ASC 606 application end-to-end — from contract review through recognition — including license/maintenance carve-outs and the standalone selling price (SSP) judgments that underpin them. This isn't close-mechanics work; it's technical ownership of how we recognize revenue and defend that treatment to auditors.
You'll set and enforce coding policy for revenue accounts across the GL, and prepare journal entries with full, audit-ready supporting documentation as a matter of course — not as a special exercise for audit season.
Working closely with the accounting team, you'll lead the design of AI-assisted workflows and documented process flows for revenue accounting — using tools like Pigment and Claude to build resilience into the function, not just efficiency.
You'll carry primary accountability for Audit readiness on revenue-side accounts, and you'll own the named control.
You'll own the MRR-to-deferred-revenue reconciliation and the ARR Snowball, giving the business a clean, accounting-owned view of recurring revenue actuals. From there, you'll take ownership of monthly actuals and variance reporting — work currently sitting with FP&A — and partner directly with the FP&A team on forecast-to-budget alignment, so accounting and FP&A are working from one source of truth rather than two.
You'll work daily in NetSuite, Stripe, Pigment, Ramp, Salesforce, Claude, and Cloud Coach, and you'll partner closely with FP&A on forecasting and with the Controller on controls and audit strategy.
