Senior python engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate project status and technical recommendations with client stakeholders.
• Design and develop scalable backend services/APIs using Python, Pyramid, and AWS.
• Design and optimize PostgreSQL schemas, queries, and performance.
• Manage AWS infrastructure including EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, S3, and IAM.
• Define coding standards, API patterns, security practices, and testing strategies.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure reliable, secure, production-ready solutions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and independently drive projects from design to deployment.

Must-Have Skills

• Python, JavaScript, SQL, REST APIs
• OAuth 2.0
• Docker & Kubernetes (EKS)
• Advanced SQL: schema design, query optimization, stored procedures
• AWS: EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, S3, IAM
• GitHub/Bitbucket, Jira, Slack/Teams
• Strong understanding of OOP, SOLID, Clean Architecture, OWASP
• Strong communication skills and English proficiency

Good to Have

• Pyramid, SQL Alchemy, TypeScript, VS Code, Snowflake
• Healthcare/clinical data experience
• Microservices, serverless architecture, and CI/CD

6+ years of backend engineering experience
