Job Description

Under light supervision, plans, designs, develops and implements basic to highly complex single unit and firm-wide IT architecture projects. Executes project tasks against an established project schedule, reviews ongoing project status with IT management and identifies unexpected key events. Maintains client relationships. Provides user and application support of escalated IT issues as defined by the group’s incident and prioritization processes. Performs requirements gathering, system design, prototyping, system integration testing, system installation and deployment of business system(s) Specializes in a specific, large program/system or provides general support for a wide variety of programs/systems, if required. Provides technical guidance and training to more junior staff. Mentors more junior staff and develops them for future growth within the discipline and firm. May supervise the work of junior staff on project work. Provide advice in area of expertise outside of the business analysis group. Performs other duties as required.

Skills & Abilities

Excellent writing and verbal communication skills. Good interpersonal skills. Solid knowledge of architecture frameworks. Strong problem-solving skills. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including Excel and Visio. Expert ability to understand technical and managerial materials.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree. 5 years of related experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Background Check and Drug Testing Information

CDM Smith Inc. and its divisions and subsidiaries (hereafter collectively referred to as “CDM Smith”) reserves the right to require background checks including criminal, employment, education, licensure, etc. as well as credit and motor vehicle when applicable for certain positions. Additional Pay Range Information

CDM Smith is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. This pay range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels for the geographic location assigned to the position. In addition to geographic location, a candidate’s salary is determined by several other factors including, but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, relevant work experience, skills, required certifications, and education/training.

Additional Compensation

All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.
