Job Description

Senior Social Content Creator (Video Editor) Contract

Remote, US based (EST) | Up to $80/hr

About the Opportunity

Our client is a full-service creative and digital agency built on strategy, design, and technology, known for work with some of the biggest brands in the world. They're hiring a Senior Social Content Creator to partner with their in-house creative team on a major financial services account. This is an editing-first role. There are no shoots and no production days. The team already has a library of footage from large-scale sponsored events, and the job is turning it into content that feels native to the feed across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and beyond. Engagement is project-based, roughly 5 weeks per project with 3 to 4 projects anticipated. Remote is fine, but the role runs on New York hours, and NYC hybrid availability is a plus.

What You'll Do

  • Take library footage from past events and shape it into social-native content for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and beyond
  • Add supers, text treatments, and light motion where it serves the story
  • Resize and reformat assets across platform specs and safe zones (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, Meta, Reddit, Pinterest)
  • Partner closely with Creative Directors, Art Directors, and PMs to turn concepts around fast
  • Stay on top of editing trends, sound, and what's actually stopping thumbs on the feed
  • Weigh in on music, pacing, hooks, and format, and take feedback well

What's Required

  • A strong editing foundation with visual hooks and real range, not one signature look applied to every brand
  • Some motion and animation ability alongside editing
  • Agency and/or in-house experience, and comfort working within a process (PMs, reviews, deadlines)
  • Proficiency in Premiere Pro, After Effects, and CapCut
  • Familiarity with Frame.io or a similar review tool
  • Strong file management and version control; you deliver organized, export-ready files
  • Availability during New York hours

What's Preferred

  • Based in or around NYC, open to hybrid
  • A portfolio built on branded, produced social content rather than UGC-style work
  • Range across multiple brands, industries, or aesthetics
  • Low-ego and collaborative, comfortable moving fast with a creative team

What's a Bonus

  • Experience working on a financial services or similarly regulated brand
  • 3D or advanced motion graphics chops on top of core editing
  • Experience turning around content from large-scale sponsorships or live events
