About the Role

Cisive is a leading provider of compliant background screening solutions serving mid-market businesses, nonprofits, and healthcare organizations. You will serve as both the primary Senior Business Analyst and Scrum Master for a cross-functional team supporting our Drug Testing & Occupational Health, Government, and Transportation clients driving clarity from discovery through delivery in a compliance-sensitive, regulated environment.

  • Maintain a well-groomed, prioritized product backlog in collaboration with the Product Owner
  • Facilitate discovery sessions, workshops, and stakeholder interviews to align on scope and intent
  • Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and the development team to ensure shared understanding
  • Define and track KPIs and success metrics for delivered features and solutions
  • Produce high-quality documentation including BRDs, process diagrams, data flows, and user journey maps
  • Support UAT by developing test scenarios, coordinating with QA, and managing stakeholder sign-off

Scrum Master Responsibilities

  • Facilitate all scrum ceremonies: sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
  • Shield the team from external interruptions and protect sprint commitments
  • Track and communicate sprint velocity, burndown metrics, and team capacity
  • Coach team members on agile principles and continuous improvement practices
  • Identify and actively remove blockers, escalating impediments when necessary
  • Foster a psychologically safe, high-trust team environment rooted in agile values
  • Report sprint health and delivery progress to leadership and key stakeholders
  • Continuously improve team processes through retrospective action items and experimentation

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of business analyst experience
  • 2+ years acting as a Scrum Master or agile lead
  • Strong proficiency with Jira and agile tooling
  • Experience writing user stories and BRDs
  • Exceptional facilitation and communication skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities across dual roles

Preferred Qualifications
