Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Architect to support a thriving architecture and design firm focusing on high-volume, repetitive commercial build-out work (such as retail coffee shop projects). This fully remote position is ideal for a professional who prefers acting as a "plug-and-play" team member, executing discrete, concurrent tasks across multiple small projects rather than owning a single large project from concept. You will be assigned to a dedicated project type and team, working collaboratively to keep fast-paced projects moving efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Task Management & Production: Juggle discrete tasks across four to five active projects a day, pulling assignments directly from a shared task-tracking spreadsheet.
- Drafting & Documentation: Create, edit, and manage architectural drawings and technical documentation primarily using Revit.
- High-Volume Execution: Consistently execute linear, repetitive production work efficiently, without the need to "reinvent the wheel" on each project.
- Training & Onboarding: Actively engage in self-guided training utilizing in-house materials, complemented by hands-on mentoring from existing team members.
- File Management: Organize and maintain digital project files, architectural drawings, and version revisions.
- Team Communication: Communicate proactively with the team to ensure design specifications are accurately reflected in all project documents.
- Administrative Tasks: Provide general administrative support related to ongoing architectural projects as needed.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Architecture is strictly required (licensure is not required).
- Revit Experience: High proficiency in Revit is non-negotiable and strictly required, as it is the firm's primary industry software.
- Industry Experience: Approximately two years of industry experience is preferred.
- Work Style: Must be highly comfortable with and thrive in repetitive, linear production work.
- Organization & Accuracy: Strong organizational skills paired with keen attention to detail.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Autonomy: Ability to work independently, manage shifting priorities, and thrive in a remote environment.
- Remote Infrastructure: Must have a dedicated home office setup with a reliable, high-speed internet connection.
Schedule & Work Arrangement
- Employment Type: Full-time position (40 hours per week).
- Days: Monday through Friday.
- Working Hours: US Business Hours (CST)
- Location: Fully Remote.
