Position Title: Senior Analyst

Job Description:

Define and shape Lux’s research agenda by identifying new coverage areas, cross-cutting themes, and long-term strategic priorities aligned with client executive needs. Conceive and lead thematic and flagship research programs, including Lux Inspire Reports, introducing novel analytical frameworks to guide executive decision-making. Develop executive-level research and strategic insight that reframes how clients evaluate innovation, risk, and opportunity. Lead high-stakes client inquiry discussions across multiple innovation domains, serving as a trusted strategic advisor to senior client leadership. Collaborate with sales and consulting teams to support business growth, direct sales efforts, and scope complex, strategic consulting engagements. Represent Lux as a recognized thought leader through speaking engagements, press interactions, and high-visibility publications. Edit, coach, and elevate research produced by Analysts and RAs to ensure team-wide quality, insight, and consistency with Lux standards. Lead teams and manage direct reports by overseeing hiring, training, performance evaluation, and professional development, as applicable. Lead internal initiatives that improve research operations, analytical frameworks, and cross-team collaboration. International and domestic travel up to 10% of the time is required based on project needs. Telecommuting is permitted.

Job Requirements:

Requires a Master’s degree in Energy Science, Material Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry or a directly related field plus three (3) years of industrial processes experience. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Energy Science, Material Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry or a directly related field plus five (5) years of industrial processes experience in lieu of Master’s degree plus three (3) years of described experience.

Must have three (3) years of experience with the following:

• Water & Wastewater Management.
• Energy & Electrochemical Systems.
• Materials Science & Chemistry.
• Mining & Metals Extraction.
• Technoeconomic Modeling & Market Sizing.
• Technology Assessment & Competitive Analysis.
• Regulatory Knowledge in water, energy, industrial policies across US, EU, and Asia.
• Quantitative & Analytical Skills including mass transfer, fluid dynamics, and data interpretation.
• Software & Programming Skills including Excel, C++, R, and ArcGIS.

International and domestic travel up to 10% of the time is required based on project needs. Telecommuting is permitted.

Salary range:

$177,715- $180,000 per year.
