Job Overview

Unrivaled is seeking an experienced independent video editor to provide post-production editing services in support of its basketball clubs during the 2026–2027 Unrivaled season. The engagement is expected to begin on December 14, 2026 and continue through approximately mid-March 2027, subject to completion of the agreed scope of services. The services are expected to be performed remotely, except as otherwise agreed by the parties.

The contractor will provide post-production editing services for game footage, athlete content, branded campaigns, and partner-sponsored content, delivering platform-optimized video assets for use across Unrivaled's digital and social media channels. Services include editing short- and long-form content, adapting creative for multiple platforms, and producing timely, high-quality deliverables that support league, club, and partner initiatives.

The contractor will coordinate with Content, Social, Partnerships, and other creative contributors to receive creative direction and project requirements while exercising independent professional judgment regarding the manner and means of performing the services necessary to complete the agreed deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit short- and long-form video content optimized for platform-specific formats, pacing, and audience engagement, including Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube, X, and other designated distribution channels.
• Edit branded and sponsored content in coordination with Unrivaled representatives and brand partners, ensuring deliverables satisfy agreed creative requirements and contractual obligations.
• Create and apply branded graphics, lower thirds, motion graphics, and other design elements consistent with Unrivaled's visual identity and applicable creative guidelines.
• Edit captions and other on-screen text to support accessibility, audience engagement, and platform best practices.
• Produce timely video deliverables, including real-time and gameday content, while maintaining agreed quality standards.
• Incorporate and implement reasonable creative feedback from designated Unrivaled representatives and brand partners throughout the review process.
• Organize and deliver project files, source footage, and final assets in accordance with agreed file management and delivery requirements.
• Monitor platform trends, emerging content formats, and editing techniques, and incorporate relevant best practices into the services provided.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional video editing experience, ideally in sports, entertainment, or a fast-paced digital media environment
• Demonstrated experience editing branded/sponsored content for brand partners
• Strong working knowledge of platform-specific best practices (aspect ratios, pacing, hook structure, caption placement, safe zones) across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, and Facebook
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (After Effects a plus) and caption/graphics workflows
• A sharp eye for pacing, storytelling, and brand consistency
• Comfort receiving and implementing feedback from multiple stakeholders quickly and professionally
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a high-volume, fast-turnaround environment
• Strong communication and organizational skills; self-sufficient in a remote setting
• Passion for women's sports and/or basketball is a plus
