Here’s what the opportunity supported through our TGS Talent Acquisition Team requires: The Google Cloud Infrastructure Practice Architect I is a senior technical role within TEKsystems Global Services, responsible for designing, developing, and implementing Cloud Infrastructure solutions on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for clients. This role requires an experienced professional with expertise in architecting and delivering enterprise-grade Cloud Infrastructure systems. The Practice Architect I will provide technical guidance to project teams, ensuring solutions are scalable, resilient, and aligned with client business objectives and TEKsystems' quality standards.
A significant aspect of this role involves translating business challenges into effective technical solutions using a variety of GCP services. The incumbent will contribute to practice development through the creation of intellectual property (IP), participation in mentoring activities, and support of pre-sales efforts. This position is distinguished by the ability to independently deliver cloud infrastructure solutions and lead technical workstreams within larger project teams. This individual must be a motivated technologist adept at navigating multiple cloud platforms and demonstrating a proven track record in technology and consulting.
The Google Cloud Infrastructure Practice Architect I serves as a vital link between client requirements and technical execution, ensuring that the solutions delivered are not only technologically sound but also drive tangible business value. This role demands a deep understanding of Cloud Architecture, Infrastructure Strategy, Platform Engineering, Infrastructure as Code, DevOps strategy, Cloud Networking, Security and Governance, Reliability Engineering, Cloud Operations, and AI Infrastructure Architecture, including platforms for Generative AI, Agentic AI, model serving, GPU-based workloads, and AI platform operations.
The architect will collaborate closely with clients to understand their needs, present technical solutions, and support successful project delivery. Furthermore, this position contributes to the refinement of practice methodologies and service offerings, leveraging insights gained from project engagements and staying abreast of the latest advancements in GCP AI infrastructure and technologies, including Generative AI.

Practice Architect I – GCP Infrastructure
Bachelor’s/master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent, relevant experience.
A minimum of 8+ years of progressive experience in Information Technology, with a strong emphasis on cloud infrastructure, enterprise architecture, platform engineering, cloud operations, and infrastructure modernization.
At least 3–5+ years of direct, hands-on experience designing, implementing, and operating enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure solutions on Google Cloud Platform, with demonstrated expertise in architecting for scalability, security, resiliency, performance, and operational excellence.
A minimum of 1–2+ years of experience in a technical leadership role, leading cloud transformation initiatives, infrastructure modernization programs, or platform engineering teams.
Demonstrated experience with the complete lifecycle of Infrastructure projects on GCP, from initial requirements gathering and PoC development through to production deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
Proven experience architecting and implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and cloud automation frameworks using Terraform, GitOps, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure lifecycle management practices.
Strong client-facing experience, including presenting technical solutions, participating in workshops, and effectively communicating with diverse stakeholders. Experience in a software/technology customer-facing role for at least 3 years is highly relevant.
Extensive experience architecting and implementing secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructure solutions on Google Cloud Platform, including enterprise networking, cloud security and governance, Kubernetes and platform engineering, cloud-native modernization, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), observability, disaster recovery, AI Infrastructure and operational excellence frameworks.
At least 1 year of experience in Generative AI using Hyperscalers, employing techniques such as RAG, prompt engineering, Agentic AI, and AI Infrastructure. This reflects the growing importance of Generative AI skills at this level.
Active Google Cloud Professional Certification is highly preferred (Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Cloud Network Engineer and/or Professional Cloud Security Engineer), reflecting our commitment to the Google Cloud Partner Advantage ecosystem.
