We are seeking an Operations Management Technician/Engineer IV Located on-site at NOB Norfolk, VA. The Operations Management Technician is a multidisciplinary position that will be expected to cross train across all IPT supported applications; troubleshoot afloat and ashore system issues to include program/application/network problems; deploy software afloat and ashore; participate in software testing; provide functional application training.
The Operations Management Technician is specifically responsible for the following functions of BA ISEA IPT Operations Management:
Education: BS degree in Engineering, Physics, Network Security, Information Systems or Computer Science. Software Engineer or computer related degrees only: Working towards the following certifications within one and a half year after assuming Qualifications: Professional Software Engineering Master (PSEM)/ Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP) or with COR approval complete a vendor/platform specific certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD), Microsoft Certified Applications Developer (MCAD), Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA), Sun Certified Professional (SCP), Red Hat Certification Program (RHCP), CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP), CISCO Certified Design Professional (CCDP), Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), Certified SAFe Agile Software Engineer, Certified SAFe DevOps Practitioner, Certified SAFe Architect, and Foundational, Associate or Professional Amazon Web Services (AWS) certifications).
Qualifications: Ten (10) years of experience in Navy maintenance, logistics, and business system projects, to include: Engineering, Technology Analysis and Assessment, Design Definition, Development of Systems Specification, Systems Analysis, Information Assurance, Requirements analysis, Net development, SQL/Oracle Database Administration, Software Installation, System Administration, Release management, Systems Architecture, Systems/Equipment Integration, Test & Evaluation Criteria, and Logistics support of C4ISR requirements. Five (5) years of technical experience in support of DoN Systems in the maintenance and sustainment phase of the lifecycle. Experience may be achieved simultaneously.
