National sales consultant

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a National Sales Consultant based in the United States.

As a National Sales Consultant, you’ll play a central role in helping independent automotive repair shop owners identify business opportunities and achieve stronger performance. You’ll engage directly with prospective clients, lead virtual strategy sessions, and translate their business needs into compelling solutions. The role combines consultative selling, financial analysis, relationship management, and sales operations. You’ll work closely with coaching, sales operations, marketing, and other internal teams to create a seamless client journey from initial contact through post-sale handoff. Your ability to interpret financial and sales data will help uncover opportunities and inform strategic recommendations. You’ll also contribute to pipeline management, forecasting, reporting, and continuous improvement of sales processes. This is a fully remote opportunity suited to a proactive, analytical, and customer-focused sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Accountabilities:

• Engage with independent shop owners through Zoom-based strategy sessions to understand their business challenges, identify needs, and present relevant solutions.
• Communicate with prospective customers by phone, email, and other digital channels to qualify opportunities, clarify needs, and prepare prospects for strategy sessions.
• Collect financial statements, sales management reports, estimates, and other relevant information to prepare comprehensive business analyses for client consultations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with prospects through consistent follow-up, effective communication, and high-quality customer service.
• Coordinate post-sale activities by gathering the required documentation and information for a smooth transition to the coaching team.
• Manage the sales pipeline in Salesforce, ensuring leads, opportunities, stages, activities, and other CRM data remain accurate and up to date.
• Collaborate with sales operations, marketing, and other stakeholders to improve lead generation, campaigns, sales initiatives, and overall conversion performance.
• Analyze sales data, customer behavior, and KPIs to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Provide actionable insights and recommendations to sales leadership to support strategic decision-making and improve sales performance.
• Support the implementation and optimization of CRM platforms, sales technologies, and processes designed to increase efficiency.
• Assist with the execution of sales strategies and initiatives that support revenue growth and broader business objectives.
• Develop and maintain sales dashboards and reports covering pipeline health, win rates, revenue forecasts, and other key performance indicators.
• Maintain accurate Salesforce stages and data to support reliable sales forecasting and target setting.
• Evaluate sales processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements that streamline operations and increase productivity.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in inside sales, sales operations, or a comparable role.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience may also be considered.
• 2+ years of experience in the automotive service industry preferred.
• Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with customers and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders.
• Consultative sales mindset with the ability to understand customer needs and connect those needs to appropriate solutions.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret sales and financial data and turn findings into actionable insights.
• High attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
• Knowledge of sales processes, pipeline management, and sales best practices.
• Experience with sales forecasting and performance reporting preferred.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize competing responsibilities, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Adaptability and resilience when priorities, processes, or business needs change.
• Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

• Annual base compensation of up to $93,500, depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
