This role offers the opportunity to build and scale a next-generation mobile trading experience from the ground up. You will play a key role in establishing mobile architecture, engineering standards, and reusable development practices using React Native. The position combines hands-on engineering, product collaboration, and technical leadership within a growing mobile platform team. Accountabilities:

As a Mobile Engineer III, you will take ownership of building reliable, scalable, and high-quality mobile experiences while helping establish the technical foundation for future growth. You will collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver impactful features and maintain excellence across the mobile ecosystem.

• Contribute to the development of a React Native mobile application from the ground up, including MVP delivery and integration with backend platforms.
• Establish and promote scalable mobile engineering practices, including reusable components, custom hooks, TypeScript patterns, and testing approaches.
• Build end-to-end mobile features from initial design discussions through App Store and Google Play releases.
• Partner with product and design teams to transform user needs into intuitive mobile experiences while balancing technical constraints.
• Improve application quality through testing strategies, monitoring, crash reporting, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Integrate mobile applications with GraphQL APIs and backend services, ensuring efficient data handling and reliable user experiences.
• Support feature teams after MVP launch by providing mobile expertise and driving continued platform development.
• Advocate for mobile-first thinking across engineering teams by sharing best practices and platform-specific considerations.
• Lead through technical documentation, architecture discussions, code reviews, and the creation of shared engineering standards.
• Balance long-term architectural improvements with immediate product delivery priorities in a fast-moving environment.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced mobile engineer with strong React Native expertise, a passion for product development, and the ability to influence engineering practices across teams. You should have experience delivering production mobile applications and solving complex technical challenges.

• 3+ years of professional experience building and maintaining production mobile applications with measurable impact.
• Deep expertise with React Native, including navigation, state management solutions, native module integration, and performance optimization.
• Strong TypeScript and modern JavaScript skills, including React patterns, hooks, component composition, and functional programming concepts.
• Experience shipping applications across both iOS App Store and Google Play Store environments.
• Hands-on experience integrating GraphQL clients such as Apollo Client, including caching strategies, optimistic updates, and error handling.
• Strong understanding of database concepts, including schema design, migrations, indexing, and query optimization.
• Experience optimizing mobile performance, including startup time, memory usage, bundle size, image optimization, and list rendering.
• Familiarity with production mobile operations, including crash reporting, analytics, remote configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Experience implementing testing strategies using tools such as Jest, Detox, Appium, or similar frameworks.
• Understanding of mobile CI/CD processes, automated builds, code signing, testing workflows, and app store releases.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical decisions and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to make pragmatic engineering decisions while balancing scalability, architecture, and business priorities.
• Experience in fintech, trading, financial applications, or other high-reliability environments is a plus.
• Familiarity with native iOS or Android development, real-time data technologies, mobile security practices, and complex UI patterns is preferred.
