Job Description

Overview

The Manager, Professional Services is responsible for the success of the symplr Project Management team. This role leads and develops a team of highly skilled Project Managers, establishes delivery standards and best practices, and ensures consistent, high-quality execution across all customer implementations and service engagements.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee project delivery across the Services portfolio to ensure consistent, high-quality execution and customer outcomes
  • Provide leadership and support to Project Managers during client interactions, escalations, and complex delivery scenarios
  • Work collaboratively across symplr teams to ensure smooth project execution, clear handoffs, and aligned delivery expectations
  • Identify, propose, and lead process improvement initiatives related to workflows, delivery standards, methodologies, and inter-department handoffs.
  • Develop, evaluate, and monitor key performance indicators across the team to include but not limited to billable utilization, revenue, resource management and time to start on projects
  • Manage and monitor resource planning and scheduling across the PMO to ensure balanced workloads and optimal staffing
  • Provide guidance and feedback to encourage and promote team member’s success and growth through regular developmental conversations
  • Understand and champion practices and processes within immediate area of responsibility to stakeholders within and outside of the team
  • Participate and provide input on strategic initiatives at the department-level
  • Lead, monitor, and communicate strategic initiatives to the team and key stakeholders
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the PMO and Services organization.

Skills Required

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Bring at least five years of experience in a related field as an individual contributor and one to two years leading people or project teams.
  • Demonstrate strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, to support reporting, analysis, and operational planning.
  • Manage time, resources, and priorities effectively in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
  • Apply strong leadership and interpersonal skills to foster a productive, collaborative, and high-performing project management team.
  • Use outstanding analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills to support project governance and delivery excellence.
  • Collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across the Services organization.
  • Demonstrate effective conflict-management skills to navigate escalations and support project teams.
  • Influence and guide customers and internal stakeholders with confidence, clarity, and professionalism.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Exposure to AI-enabled tools or platforms used in project management, resource planning, forecasting, or delivery optimization
  • Experience working in healthcare technology or other regulated industries where compliance, data sensitivity, and workflow complexity shape project delivery
