Reporting Manager: Director, Operations
Status: Salary, Exempt

Program: Missouri Virtual Schools / Washington Virtual Schools / Stellar Pines Virtual Academy (OR)
Overview
As the Manager of Operations for Missouri, Oregon, and Washington state programs, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing our virtual learning programs in each of these states. This role will require periodic travel to collaborate with field leaders, program coordinators, and educators.
Essential Duties
- Oversee multiple virtual learning programs, including public and private virtual school settings, ensuring they align with Stellar Virtual's mission, vision, values, and business objectives.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that promotes professional growth and development.
- Ensure that programs have the necessary resources to operate smoothly and meet the needs of students and their families.
- Develop and implement data submission and quality assurance processes to assess program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including school districts, parents, and community partners.
- Act as a point of contact for addressing inquiries, concerns, and feedback related to virtual learning programs.
- Ensure all programs comply with relevant educational regulations and standards in Missouri, Oregon, and Washington, in direct alignment with Stellar Virtual’s Standard Operating Procedures and program partners (i.e., school districts).
- Prepare regular reports for senior management and external stakeholders on program performance and outcomes.
- You will play a key role in our collective success by proactively pivoting to support emerging business needs and strategic priorities directed by your manager.
Knowledge, Skills & Attributes
- A minimum of 5 years of experience (7+ preferred) in education management or a virtual learning environment is strongly preferred, but we can accept similar experience as it applies to this role.
- Proven experience working independently with minimal supervision, including the ability to manage a digital task list and maintain a stable remote (home-office) infrastructure.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience using the Google Workspace suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive) in a professional or academic setting.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas via written channels (Email, Google Chat, and Document Comments) with high clarity and low ambiguity.
- Access to a private, secure, high-speed internet connection with a minimum of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to drive operational excellence and meet program goals and objectives.
- Required to travel up to 30% throughout the year, as business needs dictate.

Education & Certification Requirements
A bachelor's degree in Education, Business Administration, or a related field is strongly preferred but not required. Experience in a similar role will be considered in place of education.
