Main Objectives

The Litigation Paralegal will provide paralegal services for client cases which reach litigation status. Client contact. Timely answer and return all client calls.

Case Development. Timely actions regarding litigation cases.

File Documentation: Immediately document all available data in the case file. If it is not in the file, it did not happen.

Main Tasks

• Accurately draft Petitions, Answers, Discovery, Motions, Demands, and other legal documents as needed.
• Prepare cases for the litigation process, such as scheduling deadlines, hearing, and trial dates.
• Schedule calendars for hearing, depositions, and mediations.
• File appropriate documents with courts and serve opposing parties.
• Assist Litigation Attorney with case management and trial as needed.
• Continually communicate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, experts, and mediators.
• Sort, scan, rename, save and distribute litigation mail and faxes.
• Audit cases for all expenses (medical bills, case expenses, LOP providers, subro liens).
• Accurately maintain case management data in Salesforce (case management database).
• Prepare trial documents and assist with trial preparation.

Requirements

Meetings Team Huddles (Daily) Firm Huddle (Weekly) 1:1 with Litigation Attorney (Weekly) 45/90 and Annual performance reviews with Litigation Attorney Personnel Reports directly to Litigation Attorney

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in Personal Injury Law.
• A strong foundation in Personal Injury Litigation support, with experience in preparing cases for trial.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and multitasking skills are required.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong time management with the ability to handle a high volume of work and work under pressure.
• Attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality are essential.
