Manchester University is seeking passionate adjunct faculty to join our College of Business and help inspire the next generation of business professionals. The Lecturer of Business is a part-time online adjunct faculty member to teach undergraduate business courses and graduate-level MBA courses in disciplines such as accounting, finance, management, marketing, and related fields. Faculty members play a vital role in fostering meaningful learning experiences, connecting academic concepts to professional practice, and supporting students from diverse backgrounds as they pursue their educational and career goals. Candidates may be qualified to teach at the undergraduate level, graduate level, or both depending on their academic credentials and professional experience.
What You'll Do:
- Teach online undergraduate and/or graduate business courses.
- Create an engaging, student-centered learning environment.
- Deliver high-quality instruction and provide timely communication and feedback.
- Assess student learning through assignments, projects, case studies, and other learning activities.
- Develop and maintain course materials and syllabi aligned with program outcomes.
- Support student success through virtual office hours and regular interaction.
- Collaborate with academic leadership and fellow faculty to support continuous program improvement.
- Maintain compliance with university policies, accreditation standards, and faculty expectations.
What You'll Need:
- For Undergraduate Business Courses: Master's degree or higher in a business-related field from an accredited institution.
- For MBA (Graduate-Level) Courses: Doctorate in Business Administration or a closely related field preferred. Candidates with a master's degree will be considered if they possess qualifications consistent with graduate faculty standards, including at least 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline being taught and/or significant professional experience and relevant industry credentials.
- Previous online teaching experience preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and technology skills.
