POSITION SUMMARY

The Junior Business Applications Developer supports the development, administration, integration, and ongoing enhancement of The Battery Network’s Microsoft business applications, with a primary focus on Dynamics 365 CRM, Power Platform, and Power BI. This role will work across CRM and reporting solutions, providing development and operational support while building skills across the Microsoft business applications and data ecosystem. This position is ideal for an early-career technology professional seeking hands-on experience with Microsoft business applications, software development, data analysis, and business process automation within a mission-driven nonprofit organization. The successful candidate will contribute to projects that improve operational efficiency, reporting capabilities, customer experience, and organizational effectiveness while developing technical skills under the guidance of senior developers and technology leaders. The position supports both day-to-day operations and strategic technology initiatives across the organization.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties and responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to the following:

  • CRM & Application Support
    • Support the administration and maintenance of Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and related Power Platform solutions.
    • Assist with creating and updating forms, views, dashboards, workflows, and user permissions.
    • Troubleshoot system issues and provide technical support to internal users.
    • Support system testing and validation for new enhancements and updates.
  • Development & Automation
    • Assist in developing and maintaining Power Apps and Power Automate workflows.
    • Support enhancements to existing CRM, Power Pages, and business application solutions.
    • Help gather and document business requirements.
    • Participate in testing, troubleshooting, and documenting solutions.
  • Reporting & Data Support
    • Develop, maintain and troubleshoot Power BI reports, dashboards, semantic models, and dataflows under the guidance of senior team members.
    • Provide first-level support for Power BI end users.
    • Support and maintain data structures in Power BI dataflows and Fabric Lakehouses.
    • Support data quality, validation, and reporting initiatives.
    • Help provide reporting and analytics support to departments across the organization.
  • Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
    • Work closely with technology team members and business stakeholders to support organizational goals.
    • Create and maintain user guides, process documentation, and technical documentation.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and increased efficiency.
    • Participate in technology projects and other duties as assigned.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1 to 3 years of experience supporting business applications, technology systems, software development, data analytics, or related technical environments.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Technology, or a related field; OR 3+ years of equivalent experience.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Power Platform, Dynamics 365 CRM, Power BI, SharePoint, or similar business applications.
  • Experience troubleshooting technical issues and supporting end users.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to learn new technologies and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States for The Battery Network, with or without sponsorship.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM.
  • Experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, or Power BI.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL, databases, or data reporting concepts.
  • Exposure to software development languages such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, C#, or similar technologies.
  • Microsoft Power Platform certifications (PL-900, PL-100, or similar).
  • Experience working in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This position is remote based within the United States. Candidates must be able to work from a U.S.-based location and be eligible to work lawfully in the United States for The Battery Network. Limited travel (estimated 2-3 times per year) as needed. Travel could include, but not be limited to, attending conferences, customer meetings, or team/organization-wide meetings. Standard work hours are Monday–Friday, 8 hours per day. Some roles may require additional hours during peak periods. We prioritize the quality and timeliness of work over rigid schedules and recognize the importance of connection, collaboration, and work-life balance.
