In order to provide the best customer service to the Stafford Creek Corrections Center facility, this Human Resource Manager position is a full time, in-office role. At the Washington State Department of Corrections, we value our staff as our greatest asset. Within each Human Resource group, HR Managers serve as the backbone of the team. We are seeking a strategic, forward-thinking HR Manager to lead, mentor, and provide expert-level guidance to the human resources team at Washington Corrections Center for Women! As a mid-level manager, you will support the Stafford Creek Corrections Center by ensuring high-quality professional services are delivered to appointing authorities, leaders, and managers. This includes providing expertise in organizational growth, workforce planning and development, employee development, and risk identification and mitigation. Through this work, you will help ensure the Department of Corrections can successfully fulfill its mission to improve public safety by positively changing lives.
The HR Manager oversees the administration of multiple comprehensive employee programs and promotes effective HR management by ensuring HR consultants deliver accurate information, thoughtful consultation, responsive customer service, and consistent support to employees, management, and executives. We are looking for a leader with a strong passion for public service who is excited to develop, coach, guide, and supervise both professional and paraprofessional consultants.
