HR Coordinator

100% remote (WFH) Opportunity

General Summary

Recruiting one minute, HRIS the next, chasing down a benefits enrollment after that — if that sounds energizing rather than exhausting, keep reading. This is a true coordinator role by design: variety is the point, and no two days look the same. You'll sit at the intersection of several HR functions and get real visibility across our operations from day one.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

HRIS & Employee Systems

• Set up new employees across our systems — HRIS, payroll, timekeeping, and more.
• Process status changes: hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations.
• Keep employee data accurate and current across every system it lives in.
• Own regular reporting — new hire and bonus reports, monthly reporting, and reports to the business on new hires, terms, and more.
• Administer I-9s.

Recruiting & Onboarding Support

• Own the background screening process end-to-end for new hires, including vendor coordination.
• Coordinate job postings, candidate screening, and interview scheduling.
• Support onboarding logistics and new-hire documentation so every new hire starts off strong.
• Coordinate recruiting vendor administration for contractors and temps.
• Schedule monthly New Employee Orientation.

Benefits Support

• Schedule benefits orientations for new hires.
• Proactively track who hasn't completed enrollment — new hire and open enrollment alike — and follow up directly with employees as deadlines approach; this is about persistent, proactive chasing, not fielding benefits questions.

Compliance, Recordkeeping & General Support

• Maintain personnel files in HRIS.
• Handle temporary and contract labor HR administration.
• Support internal and external audits with organized, on-time documentation.
• Share ownership of the HR inbox with the HR Operations Specialist.
• Handle employment verifications, including lender letters.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required

• 1–3 years of HR, administrative, or office coordination experience.
• Genuine comfort working across multiple functional areas and shifting priorities without losing track of details.
• Proficiency with HRIS systems — or the aptitude and eagerness to learn quickly.
• Strong attention to detail, especially with data entry accuracy.
• Comfortable with proactive, persistent follow-up — you track down outstanding items rather than waiting for people to respond.
• Comfortable using AI tools in day-to-day HR administration, and eager to adopt new HR technology as it's introduced.

Preferred

• Prior experience in recruiting support or benefits administration.
• Experience with ADP or similar HRIS/payroll platforms.

Work Environment

• Remote: This role is 100% remote, open to candidates currently located in the United States who are able to work without sponsorship.
• Requires a private, quiet workspace suitable for focused work and video collaboration.
• Hours: Schedules are set to accommodate the needs of the role and organization and may be adjusted as needed.
• Travel: Occasional travel to off-site locations for meetings may be required.

Hourly Pay rate

$20.00 - $28.00 per hour with a comprehensive benefits package.
