Group Insurance Billing Senior Analyst

The Group Insurance Billing Senior Analyst is responsible for supporting high complexity accounts to ensure service level adherence. This role operates as a highly skilled analyst and subject matter expert to be able to support accounts and the team with the client’s complex accounts. They will be considered a key contact to provide input on complex issues utilizing their Group Insurance experience that may not be with other peers. This senior analyst may support daily workload, identify critical inputs, and a team member to alert leads of any issues. He/she solves problems by precedent and reference detailed instructions and procedural documents, escalating issues and seeking advice when faced with complex issues and problems. May collaborate with external internal clients to execute complex solutions, collaborate on special circumstances and provide options based on best practice. This role may encompass supporting the development and management of process documentation, continuous improvement initiatives and training of other resources to ensure client metrics and contracted SLAs are met. Demonstrates leadership and a positive, problem-solving attitude to guide the team members with training, coaching, mentoring.

Key Responsibilities

• Serves as a Subject Matter Experts to support case management utilizing their previous Group Insurance experience. Able to identify and resolve complex issues billing issues with their group insurance expertise.
• Support Receivable and Suspense Management over an assigned book of business consisting of mid-level or complex customers.
• Accountable for the resolution of Billing Related Customer issues through coordinated efforts with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support special internal functional projects and ad hoc requests and/or reporting.
• Able to support identifying root causes for customer dissatisfaction and recommend new tools and or articulating how existing tools can improve overall customer satisfaction.
• Expected to adhere to client Service Level Agreements and department's products key performance requirements and any reporting.
• Able to utilize strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities while working under tight time constraints, possesses ability to work through ambiguity, and work effectively with various vendors with strong interpersonal skills.
• Supports team in addressing escalations, often connecting with broker or account management as well as internal leadership.
• Provides support and training for new employees as they on board the team.
• Support client relationship with high-quality communication, reliability, proactiveness and follow through.

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Group Insurance Complex Billing, AR Reconciliation and/or Collections.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience with MS Office to include Excel Reconciliation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience researching, resolving, tracking and following up on financial issues inquiries such as outstanding balances.
• Direct customer service issue resolution and client interaction experience.
• Strong MS Excel to include Reporting, Reconciling, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPS.
• Experienced with client/vendor relationship management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
