Job Description

Position Summary:

Providers support to the Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) and Director of Program Development by coordinating and monitoring the implementation of a variety of health center grants to ensure successful implementation and compliance with programmatic and fiscal requirements. Supports department directors, managers, and supervisors in monitoring and reporting program goals and objectives throughout the life of the grant funding period. The Grants Manager position works with others in a variety of circumstances using defined but different processes dependent on the needs of the specific department and the requirements of the grant funder.

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Manage the implementation, monitoring, and reporting of the new and existing grant-funded programs and projects.
  • Organize and communicate information and concepts to teams and individuals from diverse cultural and/or educational backgrounds, ensuring all components of grant funded programs and services operating within funder requirements and regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate with the health center’s Contracting office to ensure efficient execution of grant agreements and contracts.
  • Coordinate with the health center’s Finance Office to ensure timely accounting set-up and expense allocations.
  • Provide support to department directors, managers, and/or supervisors and coordinate with the health center’s Human Resources Department to fill grant-funded staff positions.
  • Coordinate with the health center’s Data Analytics team and support department leadership in creating internal data collection and reporting infrastructure.
  • Provide support to department directors, managers, and/or supervisors in interpreting and translating funder requirements in relation to health center operations and workflows.
  • Manager a report deadline calendar inclusive of all performance and financial reporting deadlines.
  • Adapt to changing work priorities, work under time constraints, and ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Provide recommendations for enhancing long term funding based on program successes, outcomes, and service gaps.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and coordinate multi-departmental and inter-disciplinary meetings and discussions specific to implementation and monitoring of grant funded programs and services.
  • Analyze issues and create action plans in alignment with health center capacity and funder expectations.
  • Support the Grant Writing team in grant application and proposal development as needed.

Job Requirements

Education Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Master’s degree preferred

Experience Required:

  • 3 years of grant management experience in a non-profit organization setting required.
  • 2 years of demonstrated experience in coordinating teams and leading group projects or initiatives.
  • Grant management experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or other healthcare setting preferred.

Verbal and Written Skills Required to Perform the Job:

  • Excellent oral, written communication skills with internal an external colleagues in a variety of field or professions.
  • Excellent technical writing and proper grammar.
  • Demonstrated ability in a variety of reporting structures and formats.

Technical Knowledge and Skills Required to Perform the Job:

  • Knowledge of grant development and administration.
  • Knowledge and understanding of grant reporting and accounting.
  • Must have ability to understand and apply quasi-legal funding and reporting instructions and guidelines.

Equipment Used:

  • Computer and related equipment.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

This position is available remotely. Ability to work on a computer for long period of time.

Universal Requirements:
