About The Role
Source Governance is part of HPX Group, a rapidly growing professional services business providing exceptional legal, risk and compliance services. Source Governance specialises in customised high-quality outsourced company secretarial and governance. This is a newly created role within Source's growing compliance practice. As Enterprise Compliance Manager, you will be primarily responsible for delivering compliance services to Source clients across a range of regulated sectors. Working closely with practice leadership, you will manage client compliance engagements on a day-to-day basis - helping clients understand and meet their regulatory obligations, embedding compliance processes into their operations and providing ongoing monitoring and oversight. You will also contribute to internal practice development activities as the team grows. This is a hands-on, client-facing role suited to a compliance professional who is organised, pragmatic, and comfortable operating across different industry contexts.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Delivery
- Manage day-to-day compliance retainer work for Source clients across a range of regulated sectors, serving as a primary point of contact for client compliance teams and key stakeholders.
- Conduct compliance assessments and gap analyses to establish clients' baseline compliance posture and develop practical remediation plans.
- Conduct compliance risk assessments and assist clients to design and implement enterprise compliance frameworks, governance arrangements and control environments appropriate to their regulatory obligations.
- Support clients in meeting their regulatory obligations, providing clear, practical guidance on compliance requirements and helping them implement effective compliance processes.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments, assess their impact on client operations and support clients in implementing regulatory change.
- Prepare and maintain compliance documentation for clients, including obligations registers, policies and procedures, controls documentation, monitoring plans, and breach and incident records.
- Develop and maintain enterprise compliance frameworks, including compliance management plans, risk assessments, governance documentation, reporting frameworks and compliance registers.
- Develop and deliver compliance reporting packs for client leadership teams and other key stakeholders, communicating compliance performance and emerging risks in a clear and accessible way.
- Prepare governance papers and present compliance reporting to boards, executive leadership teams, compliance committees and other governance forums where required.
- Support the design and operation of compliance monitoring programmes for clients, tracking compliance performance against obligations and flagging issues for escalation where required.
- Conduct compliance monitoring activities, thematic reviews and control effectiveness testing, and support continuous improvement initiatives arising from monitoring outcomes.
- Assist clients in managing compliance breaches and incidents, including supporting investigation processes, root cause analysis, and remediation tracking.
- Support regulatory investigations, regulator correspondence and remediation programmes where required.
- Coordinate with specialist subject-matter experts (internal and external) to draw in sector-specific regulatory knowledge where required by the client engagement.
- Develop and deliver compliance training and awareness programs to client staff and management to promote a strong culture of compliance.
- Build strong, trusted working relationships with clients, demonstrating an understanding of their business and regulatory environment.
Internal Contribution
- Contribute to the development and refinement of Source's compliance methodologies, tools and templates.
- Contribute to thought leadership, regulatory updates and the continuous improvement of Source's compliance service offerings.
- Support the preparation of proposals, presentations, and other business development materials as required.
- Collaborate closely with Source's financial services compliance team, sharing knowledge and contributing to a collegiate team culture.
- Assist in onboarding new clients and setting up compliance engagement structures in line with Source's service model.
- Support engagement planning, resource management and delivery across multiple concurrent client engagements.
About You
- Skills and Experience
- Solid experience in a compliance or regulatory role, ideally within a professional services, consulting, or in-house compliance function in a regulated industry.
- Practical experience managing compliance obligations, policies and procedures, controls, and monitoring processes.
- Experience designing or implementing enterprise compliance frameworks, governance arrangements, compliance monitoring programs or regulatory change initiatives.
- Experience managing client or stakeholder relationships in a compliance or advisory context, with the ability to communicate clearly and build trust.
- Experience engaging with senior executives, boards or governance committees would be highly regarded.
- Strong written communication skills, including the ability to produce clear policies, procedures, registers, and reporting materials for a range of audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare governance papers, board reports and executive-level compliance reporting.
- Well organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple client workstreams simultaneously.
- Analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into practical, workable compliance processes.
- Ability to exercise sound judgement and provide commercially pragmatic compliance advice while maintaining regulatory integrity.
- Collaborative working style with a willingness to engage across teams and disciplines.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in law, commerce, business, governance or a related discipline desirable.
- Professional compliance, governance or risk qualifications (or working towards them) would be advantageous.
- Experience using governance, risk and compliance (GRC) systems or other compliance management software would be beneficial.
