About MC&I Mission Critical & Industrials (MC&I) is a growing consulting and engineering arm of NEI focused on the design and delivery of complex electrical infrastructure for demanding environments, including data centers, oil & gas operations and large-scale commercial and industrial facilities. MC&I supports high-impact infrastructure projects for clients, some of whom rank in the top ten of their respective industry segments across North America. The group combines the momentum of a team that is actively building with the stability of an established firm with more than 40 years of industry presence and over 300 engineers. Engineers remain engaged across the full project lifecycle, from early concept and planning through detailed design and execution support. The work emphasizes sound judgment, strong client relationships, and practical business thinking. MC&I offers an environment where engineers can contribute ideas, build lasting professional relationships, and help shape a long-term legacy of engineering excellence.
The Director of Project Management is a senior leadership position within MC&I for a project leader who can bring structure, accountability, and business discipline to a growing organization. This role will lead and strengthen the project management function while overseeing delivery performance, project financial health, risk management, team development, and portfolio-level execution. The Director will partner closely with MC&I leadership, client-facing teams, and technical disciplines to connect project execution with client expectations, staffing needs, commercial goals, and long-term account growth. The ideal candidate is a confident, strategic leader who can develop people, improve delivery practices, support complex client relationships, and create scalable systems that help the business grow. As MC&I continues to expand, this role offers the opportunity to shape how projects are managed, how teams are developed, and how the business delivers lasting value to clients.
Required: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, construction management, business, or a related field from an accredited institution, with authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis. 8+ years of relevant experience in project management, engineering delivery, construction management, consulting, operations, or technical client services.
Preferred: Experience supporting mission critical, data center, industrial, oil & gas, utility, power systems, manufacturing, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
Hybrid or fully remote work model depending on location and project needs. Travel typically ranges from 15–25% and varies by project.
