Our Digital Marketing Account Manager – Automotive role is an opportunity for someone who enjoys analyzing performance, building relationships, and turning challenges into solutions. You’ll manage a portfolio of automotive dealer accounts, serving as a trusted day-to-day partner to customers and our internal Sales team. You’ll monitor digital advertising campaigns, evaluate performance trends, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend actions that align with each dealer’s business goals. This role combines analytical thinking, digital marketing expertise, and customer relationship management. You won’t simply report numbers or pass along problems. You’ll dig into the details, ask thoughtful questions, investigate what’s happening, and collaborate with the right people to determine the best path forward.
Manage day-to-day relationships across a portfolio of automotive dealership accounts, developing an understanding of each customer's goals, inventory priorities, market conditions, and business challenges. Monitor digital advertising campaigns, evaluating performance, budget pacing, traffic, conversions, leads, and other key performance indicators. Identify trends, investigate performance changes, and uncover the why behind the numbers. Make appropriate campaign optimizations and recommend strategies that align with dealer objectives and business priorities. Translate campaign data into clear, actionable insights that help customers understand performance and identify opportunities for improvement. Proactively communicate with customers, manage requests from intake through resolution, and provide updates to ensure consistent follow-through. Identify potential issues involving campaigns, tracking, websites, creative, targeting, or operations and coordinate with the appropriate internal teams to resolve them. Partner with Sales to support customer satisfaction, account health, retention, and growth opportunities. Collaborate with campaign operations, creative, analytics, product, support, and other internal partners to deliver effective solutions. Manage competing priorities, customer requests, deadlines, and campaign responsibilities while maintaining accurate documentation. Build expertise across digital advertising channels and platforms, including Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, Meta Ads Manager, Google Analytics 4, and reporting tools. Stay curious about changes in advertising technology, AI-driven marketing, consumer behavior, and the automotive marketplace. Identify recurring challenges and share ideas that improve processes, team collaboration, and the overall customer experience.
2–4 years of relevant experience in digital marketing, campaign optimization, automotive advertising, agency services, or account management. Experience supporting automotive dealerships or working in automotive advertising is strongly preferred. Working knowledge of digital advertising concepts and performance metrics, including impressions, clicks, CPC, CTR, conversions, conversion rate, leads, budget pacing, and return on advertising investment. Experience with platforms such as Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, Meta Ads Manager, Google Analytics 4, Looker Studio, or comparable advertising and analytics tools is preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate performance trends and turn data into actionable recommendations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain campaign performance and recommendations in a clear, customer-friendly way. Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work effectively with customers, Sales, and cross-functional partners. A proactive, solution-oriented approach to challenges, with the ability to investigate issues, evaluate options, and determine when additional expertise is needed. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts, deadlines, and competing priorities. Comfort working in an evolving environment where customer needs, advertising platforms, products, and priorities can change. Strong working knowledge of Excel and the ability to learn new advertising, analytics, CRM, and reporting systems. Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
The people who succeed in this role are curious, analytical, collaborative, and driven to find solutions. They enjoy understanding how things work, asking questions, and looking beyond the surface to uncover opportunities. You’ll thrive if you enjoy working with data but also understand the importance of the people behind it. You can identify a performance issue, investigate the possible causes, and communicate a practical recommendation without losing sight of the customer's goals. You’re also someone who takes ownership. You follow through on commitments, keep others informed, and work through challenges rather than simply passing them along. You know when to take initiative independently and when to bring in the right partners to reach the best outcome. Above all, you’re eager to learn. Whether you’re building your automotive expertise, exploring new advertising technology, or finding a better way to support a customer, you approach each opportunity with a growth mindset and a willingness to improve.
