Role Summary
Priority: P1 / P2 - hire when capital strategy, M&A, multi-entity complexity, or investor/board reporting requires executive finance leadership
Reports to: CEO / ownership
Owns: Financial strategy, capital structure, treasury, M&A finance, tax strategy, investor/board reporting, and executive-level financial governance across all entities and verticals.
Mission: Build the financial leadership layer above the Finance Director so OPS can scale toward $100M+ revenue without weak capital controls, poor cash visibility, or fragmented entity governance.
Core Responsibilities
- Own group financial strategy, capital planning, treasury, banking relationships, and long-term financial architecture.
- Lead M&A finance workstreams for acquisitions such as SkyDog Ops / CRM and potential PMO acquisitions, including diligence, modeling, integration planning, and post-close reporting.
- Own investor, board, lender, and strategic finance reporting as the company matures.
- Design the tax, transfer pricing, intercompany, and multi-entity finance structure with outside advisors.
- Set finance policy for revenue recognition, margin targets, working capital, cash reserves, debt/equity financing, and approval controls.
- Partner with MD OPS, RevOps, Finance Director, and vertical leaders on branch-level P&L, forecast discipline, hiring affordability, and growth scenarios.
- Oversee Finance Director and controller structure once CFO is hired.
- Create financial readiness for $75M-$100M+ annual revenue scale.
Required Profile
- Senior finance leader with multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction operating experience.
- Experience in services, consulting, SaaS, systems integration, ERP/CRM, or project-based revenue environments.
- Strong M&A finance, treasury, FP&A, reporting, and controls background.
- Able to operate strategically while building practical systems in a fast-growth environment.
- Comfortable partnering with founder/CEO, MD OPS, sales, delivery, HR, RevOps, and external accountants/advisors.
Preferred / Nice to Have
- Prior CFO or VP Finance experience in a $25M-$150M revenue company.
- Experience with international entities: US, Canada, UK, UAE, Europe.
- Experience building finance functions around acquisitions and high-growth hiring plans.

First 90 Days
- Review entity structure, accounting partners, banking, tax, reporting, and cash controls.
- Assess Finance Director/controller operating model and define gaps.
- Create CFO-level finance roadmap for $100M+ revenue readiness.
- Build first executive finance pack: cash, revenue, margin, forecast, hiring affordability, and risks.
- Define capital/M&A finance playbook for acquisitions or new-entity builds.
