The Buyer II supports high-volume procurement and strategic sourcing activities, with a strong focus on cost savings and supplier performance. This role processes purchase requisitions and purchase orders, manages sourcing events from initiation through execution, negotiates with suppliers, supports contract creation and execution, and drives cost-reduction initiatives. The Buyer II partners closely with internal stakeholders to support operational and capital expenditure purchasing needs while ensuring timely project completion, supplier compliance, and procurement accuracy.
This role operates in a fast-paced, high-volume procurement environment that is strongly focused on cost reduction and data-driven decision-making. You will work extensively with procurement and ERP systems, and may use Source-to-Pay platforms such as Ivalua or similar tools to manage sourcing events, contracts, and supplier records. Daily work involves frequent interaction with internal stakeholders across functions, as well as ongoing communication and negotiation with suppliers. The position requires regular use of Microsoft Excel for reporting, cost analysis, and spend tracking. The work setting emphasizes organization, responsiveness, and adherence to deadlines, with an expectation of same-day turnaround for many purchasing activities. Dress code and onsite/remote expectations are determined by the employer’s standard policies for professional office roles.
This is a Contract position based out of Calabasas, CA.
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $40.00/hr.
