Bookkeeper

Remote Rate: $5-6/hr, based on experience

Work Setup: Remote / Work From Home

Schedule: Part-Time | 4:00 AM–8:00 AM PDT

Requirement: QuickBooks Proficiency

About the Role:

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial operations for a growing business, working a consistent part-time morning shift. You’ll be responsible for keeping the books accurate and current — reviewing transactions, tracking cash balances, handling payments and bills, and reconciling accounts — while also supporting month-end closing and financial reporting. This role requires someone who is comfortable working independently within a set daily schedule and can be trusted to keep the numbers clean and up to date. You’ll work primarily in QuickBooks, Monday.com, and MS 365, and check in weekly with the team to review progress and priorities.

As a Bookkeeper, You Will Be Responsible For:

Daily Tasks:

• Reviewing and categorizing bank transactions
• Tracking and updating the daily cash balance
• Receiving and recording customer payments
• Paying bills and recurring expenses
• Performing account reconciliations
• Managing the shared mailbox for financial correspondence
• Maintaining documentation for financial processes and records
• Completing other ad hoc tasks upon request
• Preparing and presenting a weekly check-in summary (PPT)

Month-End Closing & Periodic Responsibilities

• Preparing the Bank Reconciliation Report
• Preparing the Segmented Profit & Loss Report by business line, year-to-date
• Reviewing and analyzing operating expenses for the month
• Preparing the Budget vs. Actual Report
• Reviewing and reconciling contractor reimbursements
• Reviewing client contracts in Monday.com
• Completing client invoicing once per month

Additional Reporting

• Maintaining the AR Dashboard Report
• Preparing the Monthly Revenue Projection
• Supporting Financial Report Consolidation
• Contributing to the AI-based Financial Report (Claude-based reporting)

What Makes You a Great Fit?

• You have hands-on bookkeeping experience, including transaction categorization, reconciliations, and accounts payable/receivable
• You’re proficient in QuickBooks and comfortable learning tools like Monday.com and MS 365
• You’re detail-oriented and take accuracy seriously, especially when it comes to cash balances and reconciliations
• You’re comfortable working a fixed early-morning schedule (4:00 AM–8:00 AM PDT) independently
• You can manage a structured daily task list without close supervision
• You have experience preparing month-end reports such as P&L, budget vs. actual, and bank reconciliations
• You have strong written communication skills for client and team correspondence
• You’re organized and reliable, and consistently meet deadlines

Nice to Haves:

• Experience preparing segmented P&L reports by business line
• Experience with budget vs. actual reporting and operating expense analysis
• Experience with contractor reimbursement review and reconciliation
• Familiarity with AI-assisted financial reporting tools
• Experience supporting multiple clients or business lines simultaneously
• Experience preparing an AR dashboard or revenue projections
