Associate art director

The kind of Associate Art Director we're looking for:

You're early in your art direction career but you already think like a leader. You know how to take a strategic brief and turn it into something visually sharp, and you're hungry to learn what it takes to do that inside pharma and healthcare, where the craft has to hold up to both a client and a regulatory review.

You're not looking to just execute what someone else already figured out, you want to be in the room when the concept takes shape. If you've been pushing your design work past "good enough" and you're ready to grow into the person other people trust with a brand's visual direction, this is where that starts.

What you'll do

• Lead art direction and execution of integrated campaigns across assigned pharma and healthcare brands, keeping every deliverable aligned to brand strategy and client objectives
• Partner with Copy Supervisors and cross-functional teams to build creative that balances storytelling with scientific accuracy and regulatory compliance
• Mentor Art Directors and Designers with direction, feedback, and real opportunities to grow
• Present creative concepts to clients and internal teams, owning the strategic rationale behind the work
• Guide projects from concept through final production without letting craft or consistency slip
• Translate clinical data, customer insights, and market trends into visual work across print, digital, social, and omnichannel
• Push for better, exploring new creative approaches and technologies rather than defaulting to what's safe

What this role is not

This isn't a purely hands-off management role, you're still expected to have a strong point of view on the work itself, not just delegate it. And it's not an entry point into pharma advertising, you should already know how MLR and regulatory review shape creative before you walk in.

What you bring

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Advertising, Fine Arts, or equivalent experience
• 2 years of advertising agency experience, pharma or healthcare marketing preferred
• A portfolio showing conceptual thinking and integrated campaign work across print, digital, social, and omnichannel
• Strong visual storytelling instincts grounded in branding, typography, layout, and design fundamentals
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, comfortable defending creative rationale to clients directly
• Proven experience mentoring creative talent while juggling multiple projects in a fast-paced agency environment
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and working knowledge of pharma regulatory review (FDA, OPDP, PAAB, ASC); familiarity with AI-powered creative tools is a plus

The environment

P10 is remote-first, always has been. This role is open to candidates in the United States, with a preference for Eastern time zone. You'll be working inside a structure flat enough that your creative vision actually shapes client work.
