Job Description

As an Analyst – Sales Operations, you will provide analytical support to sales leaders across assigned business units. You will manage day-to-day financial and administrative activities related to customer billing, vendor expenses, purchase orders, sales jobs, and forecasting. You will also analyze large sales and performance datasets related to sourcing, catalog management, suppliers, inventory, and project management. This role is ideal for someone with experience in billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, sales operations, or data analysis who is highly proficient in Excel and comfortable working with complex datasets.

Responsibilities:

  • Compile and analyze data on historical sales and trends to forecast future trends.
  • Track vendor expenses, billing requirements, purchase orders, and sales-related financial activity using Excel and internal systems.
  • Create customer invoices using approved spreadsheets and supporting documentation, ensuring purchase orders and billing details are complete and accurate.
  • Review warehouse reports, stored-material records, vendor invoices, and expenses to allocate costs and billing to the appropriate sales jobs.
  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies in collaboration with sales, warehouse, finance, vendors, customers, and other internal partners.
  • Compile, analyze, publish, and maintain historical, current, and projected sales performance data to identify trends and support forecasting.
  • Prepare and maintain sales forecasts, updating projections based on current activity, business requirements, and emerging trends.
  • Gather reporting requirements and develop interactive, actionable performance and forecasting reports that translate complex datasets into meaningful business insights.
  • Support the development of key performance indicators, analytical tools, and data-driven solutions aligned with business goals.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for invoices, expenses, purchase orders, sales jobs, forecasts, and related reporting activities.
  • Partner with stakeholders on ad hoc business analysis and identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting accuracy, and workflow efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Associates’ Degree required; Bachelors’ Degree preferred
  • 2+ years of related experience required; 4+ years of related experience preferred
  • Knowledge of B2B Supply Chain, including Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO), Electrical, Inventory, Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), Pricing, etc.
  • Strong analytical abilities with exceptional attention to detail
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to visualize data to tell a story that allows the end user to make informed decisions and take actions
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to identify potential problems and propose possible solutions
  • Understanding of latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize tools and processes preferred
  • Ability to travel 0% - 25%

This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements.

For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents. For certain sales roles, Wesco also offers a commission structure that provides additional compensation based on sales results, as defined by the applicable commission plan.
