This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Agile Coach based in the United States.
This role offers the opportunity to help technical teams adopt effective Agile practices and consistently deliver high-quality outcomes. You will serve as a facilitator, coach, and change agent, helping teams strengthen collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement. Working across technical teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders, you will remove delivery obstacles and create an environment where teams can perform at their best. You will facilitate core Scrum ceremonies, support backlog readiness, and help teams adapt their processes to evolving priorities. The role is well suited to an experienced Agile professional who can balance hands-on team coaching with strong stakeholder management. You’ll contribute to complex digital initiatives in a mission-driven environment where technology, innovation, and measurable impact are central to the work.
Accountabilities
- Facilitate core Scrum events, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring productive communication, alignment, and collaboration.
- Coach teams on Agile principles, Scrum practices, ceremonies, and continuous improvement techniques to strengthen delivery effectiveness.
- Facilitate collaboration and communication between cross-functional team members, Product Owners, technical stakeholders, and other business partners.
- Apply functional and technical knowledge to support Scrum goals and contribute to solutions for moderately scoped and complex delivery challenges.
- Partner with Product Owners to refine, organize, and prioritize product backlogs, ensuring work is clearly defined and ready for upcoming sprints.
- Identify impediments, dependencies, risks, and roadblocks that may affect team progress and work with stakeholders to resolve them efficiently.
- Continuously assess team processes and introduce Agile practices, adaptations, and improvements that increase efficiency and delivery quality.
- Promote a culture of transparency, accountability, collaboration, open communication, and continuous learning.
- Help teams and stakeholders adapt to changing priorities while maintaining focus on delivery objectives and customer outcomes.
- Manage stakeholder expectations effectively, identifying misalignment early and recalibrating expectations when necessary.
- Support technical product portfolio management and contribute to client briefings, project updates, and status reporting.
- Apply strong organizational discipline and attention to detail to ensure projects, processes, and deliverables remain aligned with expectations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant education and experience.
- 7+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, Project Manager, or in a closely related role managing projects, processes, and technical teams delivering web-based solutions.
- Demonstrated experience managing technical product portfolios and leading technical teams through complex delivery initiatives.
- Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum principles, practices, ceremonies, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience facilitating cross-functional teams and working effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to identify and remove impediments, manage dependencies, and resolve delivery challenges.
- Experience creating and delivering client briefings, project updates, and executive or stakeholder status reports.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to communicate clearly, influence effectively, and recalibrate expectations when priorities or circumstances change.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards for quality and delivery.
- Strong communication, facilitation, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Must have reliable internet service suitable for effective remote work.
- Willingness to work occasional extended or weekend hours when operational requirements demand it.

- Base salary of $130,000–$140,000 per year, depending on geographic location, relevant experience, skills, education, internal equity, security clearance, and contract requirements.
