Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, plus every other weekend

Join Mercy LIFE Norristown and help seniors remain independent, safe, and supported in their homes and communities. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for participants by providing compassionate personal care and health support.

What You'll Do

• Conduct ongoing participant assessments and monitoring
• Assist with activities of daily living, including: Toileting, Grooming and personal hygiene, Meal assistance
• Support participants with mobility, exercise, and physical activities
• Identify safety concerns and respond appropriately to emergencies
• Assist with recreational activities, meal service, and light housekeeping
• Communicate changes in participant condition to the interdisciplinary care team
• Escort participants to appointments and assist with transportation needs

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of one (1) year of documented experience working with a frail or elderly population. Candidates with less than one year of experience may be considered with appropriate training provided upon hire
• Valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and reliable personal vehicle
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing needs
• Ability to travel within the service area as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in long-term care, senior care, home care, or geriatric programs
