Job Description

Marketing & Sales Coordinator

Hourly · Full time (30-40 hrs/wk) · Salt Lake City area, in person

Position Overview

Bering is hiring an entry-level Marketing & Sales Coordinator to own day-to-day marketing and be a key partner to our sales team. You’ll build the sales materials, presentations, and proposals that wow clients and win projects, run a professional social media presence, and keep website and product content accurate and current, so our flooring collections reach builders, designers, and property owners. This is an in-person role in the Salt Lake City area.

Ideal Candidate

  • Competitive spirit: loves to win and takes pride in helping the sales team win
  • Organized and steady: brings structure to a fast-moving, high-demand sales environment
  • Confident prioritizer who can handle competing requests and push back constructively
  • Takes ownership and follows through on every deliverable
  • Coachable, humble, and comfortable working across teams
  • Detail-focused, with strong writing and a good eye for design
  • Plans ahead: works from a strategy and calendar, not whatever comes to mind in the moment

About Us

Bering is a flooring manufacturer delivering innovative, performance-driven products that perform as beautifully as they look. Our luxury vinyl, rigid core SPC, waterproof hybrid, and engineered wood collections are built for the demands of multi-family, hospitality, senior living, student housing, and commercial spaces. With designer-selected styles you won’t find on big-box shelves, responsibly sourced materials, and 30-year residential and 15-year commercial warranties, we help our partners create spaces that are built to last.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the sales team on active opportunities and take a strong role in the sales process
  • Create proposals, presentations, and bid packages that stand out and help win projects
  • Own product sales sheets, collection sheets, case studies, and leave-behinds, turning product specs into clear, customer-focused benefits
  • Build and maintain an organized library of current, on-brand sales templates, product images, and marketing materials
  • Handle sample, marketing material, and trade show requests for sales
  • Prioritize and organize incoming sales requests, and manage deadlines so the team stays on track
  • Build and own a social media content strategy and posting schedule that reflects Bering’s brand voice, tone, and product names
  • Create, schedule, and publish professional social media content, and report on what’s working
  • Source product photography, installation images, and customer project highlights for marketing use
  • Work with our website team to keep WordPress content and WooCommerce product listings (descriptions, specifications, images) accurate and current, and serve as the internal contact for website requests
  • Use AI tools to draft and refine content, and review all output for accuracy, brand consistency, and proper handling of company information
  • Provide backup entry of customer orders and sample requests, as needed
  • Track engagement, site traffic, and campaign results in Excel, and stay current on marketing and flooring-industry trends

Qualifications

Required:

  • Available 30-40 hours per week on a flexible but consistent schedule
  • Experience managing social media for a business, brand, or organization (work, internship, or club or nonprofit accounts count; personal accounts alone do not)
  • Ability to create a social media content strategy and posting calendar, and schedule posts in advance
  • Graphic design skills using professional design software, plus presentation skills
  • Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude, including giving clear prompts, evaluating results, and turning drafts into polished work
  • Strong verbal, written, and grammar skills
  • Highly organized, with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines
  • Competitive spirit and a drive to win
  • Works well in a team toward a shared goal

Preferred:

  • Degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience (a degree is not required)
  • Internship or 1+ year of marketing, content, e-commerce, or social media experience
  • Experience creating sales proposals, presentations, or client-facing materials
  • Working familiarity with WordPress; WooCommerce experience is a plus
  • Experience with a social media scheduling tool and basic analytics
  • Experience in building materials, flooring, or other B2B products, or a strong interest in them
  • Experience working with an outside web or creative agency

Portfolio

A portfolio is not required to apply. Before an interview is scheduled, candidates will be asked to share a short portfolio. Work from school, volunteer, or professional settings is welcome; personal social media accounts are not. For each piece, include a short note on what you owned, the goal, and the result.

  • A marketing flyer, ad, or product infographic where you owned both the creative and the technical work
  • Social media examples where you created the voice of the brand
  • A sales proposal, presentation, or one-pager you built to help win business
  • A social media content strategy or posting calendar you created

Key Success Metrics

  • Sales materials are accurate, on-brand, and delivered on time
  • Social media is posted consistently and reflects the Bering brand
  • Website and product content stay current and accurate
  • Priorities and potential delays are communicated proactively
