NASCAR is seeking a strategic and experienced Managing Director, Corporate Events, to lead the Corporate Events team and oversee a portfolio of high-profile events. This leader will shape event strategy, guide planning and execution, manage budgets, and create exceptional experiences that bring the NASCAR brand to life.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the strategy, planning, and execution of NASCAR’s corporate event portfolio in partnership with executive leadership, internal business units, industry stakeholders, agencies, and external partners.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Corporate Events team while managing staffing, assignments, workloads, and performance.
• Serve as the senior point of accountability for corporate events and the primary relationship leader for internal event partners.
• Lead the event intake and briefing process, establishing clear objectives, audiences, budgets, timelines, responsibilities, and measures of success.
• Maintain the master corporate events calendar and provide visibility into priorities, staffing needs, budgets, scheduling conflicts, and organizational capacity.
• Partner with senior leadership to determine the staffing, resources, agency support, and investment needed to deliver company priorities.
• Coordinate with teams across Entertainment, Creative, Show Production, Premium Hospitality, Executive Services, Food and Beverage, Content, Communications, Industry Services, and Live Event Operations to develop integrated event plans.
• Establish consistent planning processes, standards, templates, and tools that strengthen communication, efficiency, and accountability.
• Lead project updates, readiness reviews, executive presentations, and other key planning milestones.
• Select and manage venues, agencies, production partners, vendors, and event technologies, ensuring alignment with approved scope, budget, schedule, and NASCAR standards.
• Oversee the guest experience, including invitations, registration, communications, credentials, seating, hospitality, guest flow, and reporting.
• Direct event operations, including venue logistics, transportation, parking, security, access control, signage, deliveries, permitting, safety, and on-site execution.
• Manage event budgets, forecasting, contracts, purchase orders, invoice reconciliation, scope changes, and final financial reporting.
• Identify operational, financial, contractual, safety, reputational, and guest-experience risks and ensure appropriate contingency plans are in place.
• Serve as the senior on-site leader for major corporate events, providing clear direction, decision-making, and escalation support.
• Lead post-event evaluations and apply key findings to strengthen future events.
• Contribute to annual business planning and budgeting in support of company priorities.

What You Bring

• At least 10 years of relevant experience in corporate events, experiential marketing, hospitality, live event production, or a related field.
• Demonstrated success leading complex, high-profile events involving executive leadership, multiple business units, external partners, and significant budgets.
• Experience leading large-scale productions such as executive programs, galas, awards shows, and other high-profile events.
• Experience in sports, entertainment, hospitality, or experiential marketing preferred.
• Proven ability to lead and develop teams, manage agencies and vendors, and establish effective event-planning and project-management processes.
• Strong business and financial acumen, including experience developing, forecasting, managing, and reconciling event budgets.
• Sound judgment and the ability to manage competing priorities, assess risk, solve complex problems, and adjust quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written, verbal, presentation, and relationship-management skills, including the ability to influence executive leaders and external partners.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel, along with experience using guest-management, registration, budgeting, and project-management platforms.
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud is a plus.
• Certified Meeting Professional designation, or an interest in pursuing certification, is a plus.
• Strong executive presence, discretion, and composure in high-pressure environments.
• A collaborative and hands-on leadership style focused on creating structure, consistency, and accountability.
• A commitment to delivering exceptional experiences for guests, partners, customers, and stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel approximately 40% to 45%, including weekends and holidays.
