Under the direction of and coordination with the Director of Psychiatric Nursing and in coordination with the Vice Chief of Psychiatry (or designee), the manager will provide administrative supervision and manage the Physician Assistants / Nurse Practitioners for all Psychiatry and Behavioral Health sites (Inpatient, Psychiatric Emergency Services, Psychological Medicine, Ambulatory, and Interventional Psychiatric Services). The Manager will work clinically as needed to supplement the activities of the other PAs/NPs. Duties include but are not limited to: personnel hiring and dismissal, new hire orientation, performance management and scheduling and staffing of personnel.

Must have a BA or BS in appropriate field and have graduated from a certified physician assistant or nurse practitioner program. Master's degree required.
Must have at least 3-5 years as an advanced practice provider in psychiatry or behavioral health care.
Must be licensed in State of CT as an advanced practice provider either as an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner or a Physicians Certification. Must hold controlled substance registration and DEA license. Must maintain certification with the appropriate governing body.
Must have excellent clinical, verbal and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, develop and lead programs, foster a positive work environment. Strong initiative and excellent leadership skills. Must support an environment of equity and inclusivity for patients and peers.
Needs to be able to work in acute psychiatric settings with de-escalation experience.
